TOO MANY BUTTONS

I looked down this morning and thought "I've got to take a photo of this!".

Every day I walk on my treadmill armed with my iPhone and my iPad. AND... I'm serious...sometimes I hit the wrong button! I forget what I'm doing and I hit a button on the treadmill instead of the iPad or iPhone. LOL I've lowered my speed or incline a few times instead of trying to get back to the main screen on my iPad. Duh!

Some of you have asked about my treadmill, so I thought I would show a few photos. Mine is a NordicTrack and it is one that can be "stood on end" to reserve space. Love it! It's pretty heavy, but I'm able to do it by myself. (I have BIG muscles. HA)

Our master closet is a pretty big walk-in, so I keep mine in there. We have two windows so there is plenty of light, plus I leave the door open. As you can see, I also keep my ball and hand weights close by.

Here's a side view when the treadmill is closed up. It doesn't use much space.

And...did you notice mine has fans on each side? (lst photo) What a blessing! When I start getting warm, I can turn those babies on either low or high.
Once it is closed up and locked in place, I can roll it towards the back wall. Honestly, I keep it up most of the time unless we're having guests that might ask for a tour of the house. :-)

It also makes a great place to hang clothes when I decide what I'm going to wear for the day! LOL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many of you have expressed an interest in getting a treadmill. I can definitely suggest the type I have. I bought mine about 5 or 6 years ago from a friend who was working out at the gym with me. She had just had a baby and decided she wouldn't have the time to use it as planned, plus she needed the space for baby equipment. I got it for a good price. The hard part was transporting the darn thing, but I'm so glad I bought it. You might keep an eye out in your local newspaper want ads OR post a notice at your gym asking if anyone has a treadmill for sale. I think LOTS of people buy them in January (New Year's resolutions!), but never actually use them.
I'm using mine!
Every day :-)
Hugs from the beach,
Kat
The treadmill is nice, but OH MY WORD! Your closet is wonderful!! :) We're planning to add on to our house within a year, and I'm going to remember this post so I can show it to our builder!! :)
I love your closet....and your treadmill! And if guests ask for a tour of my house, they have to make an appointment....so I can get it all clean! :)
I like the fold-up-ness of that treadmill. Mine is always on the ready (rarely on the go). I've got my eyes open for a bike to add to the 'exercise room'.
Keep moving~~
Just don't push the wrong button, Kat, and go flyin' over that thing. :)
Hi Kat
I haven't tried my IPad on my treadmill yet, did you attach something for it to rest on, or did your machine come that way? Sounds like a great way to read some blogs to me. I'm going to figure out how to get mine on there too!
Blessings
Sue
I am just stopping in to see how you are doing. You can be glad that you are not in the way of this storm that is heading to the midwest and northeast. We are prepared and waiting.
I don't have a treadmill, but I think I would love one, since I enjoy walking. I would be doing the same thing with the buttons Kat! Just be careful and don't fall off your treadmill. Your closet is amazing! Hope you enjoy your week. Love & blessings from NC!
Oh, My Dear!! I have neither IPAD, IPOD nor Treadmill, but I have been known to push buttons on the phone, flinging my hand out straight, as if THAT would make the TV channels change.
And, I cringe to say, more than once I've followed the ring, picked up the remote, and said, "Hello?"
Kat...love your closet...so wonderful!!! I think it is too cute that you have your IPhone and IPad on there...remember those days, even before cordless phones, when we would be in the kitchen and walk into another room with that 20 foot cord attached to it? We've come a long way!!! And, I have to admit, I have one side of our garage as a mini gym. We put in for my daughter. I'm not quite sure I would know what to do with it...makes me tired just looking at it...kudos to you for your determination, though, you don't need it, you look fabulous!!!
God Bless!!
You crack me up, Kat. :-)
You'd be proud of me. After skipping my 'at home' workout yesterday morning, I did get out into the freezing sub zero temps and go to the gym with my hubby when he got home from work. We are going again tonight.
What a perfect spot for the treadmill. I have mine in the basement, and I'm trying to fix up my workout room to make it a more welcoming place that I want to be in! I'm trying a new workout tonight...dancing to the oldies with my MIL!!!
Cool post! I got a treadmill off Craigslist for $25...it's an older version but still works. STILL haven't cleared it off since last winter (walk outdoors spring/summer/fall), but I think you just inspired me. :) You've heard of Armegeddon...we've got SNOW-meggedon in Chicago with the snow coming like crazy.
Kat, I wish your habits would rub off on me! I need so badly to start exercising, but can't get motivated...UGH!
It's Tuesday evening and I see that you and I are both under a tornado watch! And, thunderstorm warning! Stay dry!
I used to love the treadmill at the gym with it's personal TV - till I ended up with plantar fasciitis. I should have had my Sauconys back then.
Yep, I love your closet even more than your treadmill, hahahaha!!
What a great idea! I am now wishing my closet had windows because I would beg my husband to move ours up from the basement. Our basement is finished but we live in a 3-story house so it is really hard to keep any heat in the basement and I hate being cold even though I know once I start moving I will warm it. It still makes it hard to get motivated to start.
I guess it's a good thing I don't have windows in the closet though because then I'd just be jealous of you since I know I would NEVER convince Mark it was worth it to move ours. It took Mark, Zack, and the delivery guy to get it downstairs. It's a heavy duty one that can handle the "big guys" in house so that thing is HEAVY!
Keep on motivation us to move!
Smiles!
