LEARNING AS I GO

I'm sticking with my plan of cutting back on calories and doing more exercise. It's actually going easier than ever before...not sure why, but it is. Thank you Lord. I really do think using myfitnesspal.com is the answer for me. What I eat and what exercise I do is right there in black and white. I'm making better choices and when I have a craving, I make it work in my plan by cutting back on something else. Even "cheating" I usually have calories left over at the end of each day.

I can't believe I'm measuring mayonnaise... but I am. Did you know Hellman's Real Mayonnaise has 90 calories in one tablespoon? It does.
And it's worth it to me, so don't even try to tell me about all those other kinds. LOL

And did you know a single homemade campfire style smores has 175 calories. Well, it does. How do I know? Because I was craving one last night and I checked and it fit in my daily calorie allowance. So...I did a happy little dance and made myself one. Oh my word! Heaven on a stick! I even had enough calories left for another one, but one did the trick. So I stopped. Imagine that.

Even when you're trying to lose a few pounds, you still have to say yes to your cravings, right?

Happy weekend everyone!

Hugs,
Kat

You are absolutely right; those cravings mean something. lol

I always buy Hellman's, but Kat I switched the one with olive oil; it tastes just as good if not better, IMO, and only has 50 calories. Just sayin' :)

Keep up the good work, but I didn't think you need to go on a diet in the first place. ((hugs))

Sounds like you are on the right track! keep up the great work!!! I too have find it easier to stick to a daily meal plan ... I am determined to get back to the meal plans my nutrionist put together. I find I have been indulging in some emotional eating lately. xo HHL

For all the reasons you mentioned, I'm loving the Weight Watchers system with bonus points. I don't feel deprived, and that's a big help!

I'm trying to endure my days on low-cal, too. I kinda feel like I could start knawing on my arm. Especially after seeing that smore! Okay - I suppose I should go check out that website you are referring to. My only problem is I need to lose 10 pounds by Tuesday to fit into a very snug dress.... 3 days/10 pounds. Crazy!

Good for you, Miss Will Power! :) It has not helped one bit that my daughter was home last week and we made choc. chip cookies. Oh my are they (were they!) good! I just can't have stuff like that sitting around.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Kat, you are really inspiring us all to get into shape! You are doing a great job. I too have been using the mayo with olive oil. Hope you got your bike ride in today. We sure had a beautiful day here. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

You are right! Thanks for reminding everyone that attempting to lose weight (i.e., dieting) doesn't involve starving to death. Our bodies must have fuel to operate. It can't run on air!
