We had friends over for dinner tonight. Celebrating LIFE! Our friend Carl (in the baseball cap) is fighting cancer...again. He will be starting chemo and radiation again soon and will be needing a stem cell transplant. Please include him in your prayers.
It's not a great photo of me...cheese-y smile because I set the camera on the tripod and ran around to jump in the photo. I said "say cheese" right when the camera clicked. Ugh! (Plus my hair looks awful...tried a new shampoo and a new gel and it wouldn't cooperate at all.)
But, hey, tonight wasn't about me. Well, it was actually (kinda/sorta) because Carl and I are SURVIVORS and tonight WE were celebrating LIFE.
And every.single.day is worth celebrating!
"Father, help me to be a blessing to someone today."

Need to post but have nothing this week....Just lots of sadness...
I agree with you, Kat! As a cancer survivor every day is a celebration day!! Praying for your dear friend. I hope he gets along well with his treatment. I have a friend who had a stem cell transplant many, many years ago and she is doing great today. Keep us posted. Love & blessings from NC!
What a wonderful celebration!!! Kat you have inspired me to host a little get together with friends in the fall ... to celebrate LIFE!!
I will certainly include Carl in my prayers. Happy Life... my friend..HHL

What a great looking group! And, your hair looks just great...consider the alternative...you could be wearing the ball cap! Carl is in my prayers and you get a hug and a prayer!
It's great that you were together, celebrating life before he starts this round of treatment. I'll pray for him.
Celebrating life is a great way to title a get-together!!!
Last Xmas we adoped a somewhat related idea instead of gifting which we donated to those less fortunate than we are.
We invite persons we considered cosest friends to a series of dinners at a fine restaurant and footed the bill.
It entailed couples each at a time. I am so glad we did this as it seemed truly appreciated and we plan to do it again this year.
One couple was so appreciative.Little did we know he would now be terminal with cancer, and his wife has a stroke at the same time. TIME IS A PRECIOUS GIFT
It is a great picture of you and everyone!!!
Amen....every single day.....celebrate!!!
You and George have such special bonds with so many people! Praying for your friend.
Life is a good thing to celebrate!
Praying for him to have more of it.
You know Carl will be in my prayers.
As an aside note, what a great dress you have on there girly. :) xxoo
