BLOGGING - THERE'S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

I saw this on facebook tonight and it's true for blogging too:
“Contrary to popular belief, not everything that pops into your head needs to be shared on facebook" (or blogs)

I had to laugh 'cause sometimes I try visiting blogs that I've never visited before and I just can't believe what some people put on their blogs. Oh.My.Word! Has that happened to you?

It's amazing how different blogs can be. I visit some and move on quickly because they are not for me. I don't like whiners or those that use ugly language or crude jokes. And then other times I visit a new one and just don't want to leave. They make me smile and they make me feel good. Love it when that happens!

It's always fun to find a new great blog. If you have one that you really enjoy, please let me know so I can check it out.

I love blogging. I really do. I've said this before and it's the truth - I started blogging because it looked like fun and I wanted a place that I could record my days...never ever dreaming anyone else would want to read my blog. And through blogging I have met lots of really great people.

I'm not sure why or how you found my blog, but I want to say THANKS for your visits and your comments too. I love hearing from you and I love getting to find your blog through your comments so I can visit you too.

"Father, help me to be a blessing to someone today."

I still think it's fun too, and I laughed when I saw that statement the other day about not needing to share everything that pops into one's head. SO TRUE!!!

I too love blogging and am so thankful for all the wonderful friends I have made. I don't like whiners either! My "family" of blog friends are so special to me and I look forward to hearing from all of them each week. Glad we have been able to connect via our blogs. I hope we get to meet each other in person some day. I would love that. Love & blessings from NC!

I agree with what you said about blogs. I found you some time ago and never tire of coming back to see what you have to say!

Hi friend! Your blog has always been one of the best! And, I so agree...why would people put some of the things they do on their blog? I feel embarrased reading it and just being on their site...sort of like there's a blogging police looking over my shoulder. I try to think on every post I write...How would I feel if a grandchild read this in 20 years or so.

On my new blog, I have a page of LINKS...I've listed some great new blogs I found...I don't reaad them every day though...that's reserved just for friends!

Warm friends and innocent chats and family moments and the news from home---those are the blogs that captivate me, along with the beautiful collections of meaningful things and the family celebrations (I LOVE closeups of the fun and the food, for they remind me of all our own beautiful moments, for family or for people celebrating happy times).

The different landscapes which people call home, and the places they visit and enjoy; the out-of-the way little restaurants and the known-only-to-them scenes and history and places of interest---I love sharing someone's vacation or someone's home setting, if they are so welcoming as to invite.

And, like Tonja, I write every word of my own blog mindful of the wide world it will be exposed to, and choosing every word with the knowledge that my Grandchildren could well read it someday. If that doesn't keep it pure and kind and honest, nothing will.

I too agree with Tonja.

I love coming to your blog for a visit Kat I really think that if we were to share our lists of blogs they would be mostly the same...I think birds of a feather applies here.

I've said it before and its so true we may never meet in person but I still consider you a friend :)

All the best,
Kathy :)

ps I don't know if I asked you already, and forgive me if I have but where did Bree and Jay go on their honeymoon?...

You will find that I am the same person online that I am off. That being said, I don't put it all out there on the net. Like when I blogged the other day about my struggle, I never said what the struggle was. Not everyone needs to know everything. but I feel the struggle itself was something people could relate to. Some blogs I read because i want to laugh. Some I read for dicipleship, some i read because I can relate. And they evolve and interchange. But this community... meeting people who encourage me when I'm struggling or just offer a virtual hug are things that I love.

I don't remember how I found your blog but I enjoy reading it so much.
I have found one or two that actually offended me and I just got away and didn't go back. It wasn't bad language, just hurtful words...don't need that in our life.

I don't like the ugly talk! I think sometimes I may say too much.....but I've always said if I said everything that pops into my head, no one would ever speak to me again! :)

Hi,

I just wanted to say that I've been reading your blog for a long time but I don't think I've ever commented. I mainly read blogs of mothers of twins or young families but I also have you in my favorites! I just love your spirit. :-)

Love stopping by your blog. It's fascinating because you live in a different and beautiful part of this country and also love to read about your family & friends and fellow bloggers. You are an inspiration to any and all who visits you.
