I DIDN'T PLAN IT

But...
I spent the day in my jammies. The.whole.day!

We woke up to rain again (we've had more than our share!) so that meant our normal Saturday morning routine of riding bikes with our friends to breakfast wasn't gonna happen.

I thought about doing lots of things, but decided "nah, not gonna do 'em".

I did make my bed and do a bit of laundry, but otherwise I just chilled.all.day.long.

It was so nice that I would do it again tomorrow except I never like to miss church unless I absolutely have to.

Hope your Saturday was a "do nothing" kind of day too.

"Father, help me to be a blessing to someone today."

Sometimes we need a day like that. It was beautiful here in NC today so I stayed on the go. But I sometimes love a rainy day. It makes me stop and do nothing! Good for you!

Went to a ladies brunch at church with Mom and my sister. It was wonderful! Then thrifting after lunch and dinner out with hubby. We had beautiful weather here today. I am doing early church on Sunday and then chilling out at home all afternoon. I need a down day before heading back to work on Monday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

To stay in PJ's all day long. What bliss! Bet you looked cute as a bug, too. Maybe this winter I can take a PJ day...lets plan one, Kat...okay?

Wish we had some of your rain. It hasn't rained for over 6 weeks here and the temps have been in the upper 90s most days. Everything is dead or dying. Glad you had a fruitful day.

Good for you. I'm trying to do more Saturdays like that myself, although with football season upon us, we'll be spending a lot of Saturdays on the road until after Thanksgiving. I'm in a "principal induction" program this year and in our first two day retreat at least four different presenters talked about how "if you don't take care of yourself, the stress of this job will kill you." I got so worked up and exhausted the two weeks before kids arrived that I now believe them. From here on out (and barring extenuating circumstances), weekends = rest and relaxation.

Once in awhile, I love rainy days too.

We are having one today.

I thought of you right away when I heard Melissa Etheridge's song. It has your name written all over it - beautiful.

Hey guess what? We have our reservations and are leaving for Florida in the end of September. I cannot wait. I hope the weather is still warm then.

Hugs!

Melissa
