Actually it was perfect...until right before you were to come on.....so sad!
I might have jinxed things for me AND you too (sorry) when I said more than once that I wanted to hear you, but I was most excited about seeing Mary Chapin Carpenter again. I saw her years ago in Nashville and loved her. I have so many of her songs on my iPod and I have her CDs out the "wazoo". I love so many of her songs, including Passionate Kisses, Stones In The Road, He Thinks He'll Keep Her, I Feel Lucky, The Long Way Home.As soon as Mary Chapin finished her show and we all stood up to stretch a bit before Vince came on stage...and I mean it happened quickly...the rain came, fast and hard. George and I huddled under an blanket and tried to wait it out, but finally gave up and left.

We got there early before the gates were even open.
One of our friends had a cocktail party in one of her rental condos that looked over the concert. It was perfect because we could enjoy ourselves while we watched the crowd grow and grow. Our sweet guys went and put our chairs right up front.
We didn't have to go down until right before the show. And we had a potty! 
Thanks Mary Chapin Carpenter for an awesome show! You haven't changed a bit in 16 years.
I walked around and took some photos to show the whole stage and crowd, but it was too dark by then. As I say all the time
"things don't always go perfectly, but you end up with some perfect memories!"
Now when I think of Vince Gill, I will always remember sitting under a VERY wet blanket with my hubby.
"Father, help me to be a blessing to someone today."

Vince Gill is a real gentleman and a fellow Okie. He has always been so humble when he received awards for his songs. We are proud of him.

Awe that is so sweet...its definitely what you make of a situation and you made it a sweet memory of you and your hubby enjoying Vince Gill!!!
Poor old Vince! But we need the rain in our area so badly! There's always next time!
At least you got to see Mary Chapin! I'd have sat thru rain snow sleet or hail but can't say that for everybody lol! Love the shared photos!

Sorry you didn't get to hear Vince. Was the concert in Florida? I forgot to tell you I live in Florida too. It stormed here last night and early this morning. Glad you had a blanket to keep you dry.
I love her song "Shut Up And Kiss Me"....She has always been one of my favs! Sorry you missed Vince!
