IN A FOG

Warning: Whining ahead.

A Benadryl fog that is! It must have been fire ants that got me because I have those white pimple type sores on my feet, especially my left foot. Grrrr! My skin is so super sensitive to bug bites, spider bites, mosquito bites, hives, etc. It takes so much longer than the average person to get some relief.

I feel so sluggish!

From your description of white pimple sores, they definitely sound like fire ant bites...at least this stage is the last before they go away....enjoy coffee at least with your Benedryl...if I were at my beach home sweet home, I would bring you a Pumpkin Spice Latte from SB!

Hope you're getting some relief by now. Those sneaky little ants can cause a lot of trouble.

So sorry Kat. I hope you got my message on FB concerning Aloe. If not, send me a message.

Now, let me tell you this, too. If the Benedryl is not stopping the itching, your DR can call you in some Atarax (hydroxyzine HCL) I take this quite often, and for me it works better than Benedryl.
If your feet are covered, and you havemany, mny bites, you may even need to get a shot of Decadron a steroid. That will really help!
Let me know if I can help!

I agree - does sound like fireant bites. We moved to Savannah a few years back from Kansas (we've moved back to Kansas now), and didn't really know anything about fireants. Didn't take us long! My daughter is 19 and so allergic to the bite! Hope you feel better soon!

Kat, that is just one of those things we have to put up with here in the Sunshine State, that we wish we didn't. I feel for you, please take care and a nice aloe cream seems to help with the burn and itch...God Bless.

I don't know about a bubble bath, but a baking soda bath will help the itch and help dry them up. Hope they go away quickly!

Hope you are doing better soon!
Let me tell you, if I took Benadryl I would be good for nothing! It really knocks me out!

I hope that you get some relief soon. It isn't any fun when you can't ride your bike and play tennis. I must google those things to see what they look like. I don't think we have them around here.

Sorry .... I was off computer for a week and just found this. FIRE ANTS - they are THE WORST!! That is the most painful bite I've ever had. They always attack in groups and you can't feel them on your skin - then the find the bites. In 2008 I had multiple attacks and the bites turned into sore that went almost to the bone. Horrible looking and feeling. They left scars! You take care of those sweet little feet, Kat.
