TGIF

Lordy! It was hot, hot, hot on the tennis court this morning! We had a great match though.

George's daughter Kim and her husband Mike are in town, so we met them and our friends Jack and Linda for dinner tonight. We celebrated Mike's birthday which is on Monday.

The topic everywhere is either about the political situation or Hurricane Gustav. It all makes me want to scream!

We're leaving early in the morning to attend Sydney Anne's pirate birthday party. We're dressing up....tattoos and all! Shiver me timbers!

I can't wait to see the pictures from the pirate birthday party -- tattoos and all!

I know what you mean about the constant drone of politics. The Democrats have left Denver and it is very quiet around here now. I have to say, it was interesting to follow though, especially knowing that the convention was almost "just down the street from us" (acutally about 10 miles). Now, I'm at a loss as to what to watch on TV, since the Olympics and the convention coverage is over. Guess I'll have to wait for the Republicans to start up this week:)

Stay safe!

Hi Kat,
I just took a break from my housework today to come check on you. Is there a chance you all will be affected by Gustav? My heart and mind are on those dear souls living in New Orleans.

Are we gonna get to see photos of you and George in costume? ARRGGHH

Oh my, things got worse while I was away at the cabin overnight. At least it looks like you'll be spared the direct hit, but I can hardly stand the thought of anyone getting hit.

Have fun with the pirates.... don't get too carried away with the cannons and tattooes! Poor Ms. Daisy with all that noise!

And hopefully Gustuv won't sink your boats!
