SHIVER ME TIMBERS! WE HAD FUN

Yo-ho-ho! Sydney Anne's pirate party was a blast!
(photos are clickable)
Here we are with our grandson, Landon, and Angela's Dad.
The two granddads place our son and three grandchildren in jail.
George and I take a prisoner.
Landon and GrandDad strike a pose.
Sydney Anne with what's left of her pirate pinata...look at those sweet flushed checks from running around
Syndey Anne, the birthday lassie, in front of her cake (I hate the photo is so dark!)
Angela's Dad made the cake. Isn't it wonderful!
It was so yummy!
I couldn't find pirate wrapping paper, so I just decorated our gift using brown paper and cut a pirate out of a coloring book.
Sydney Anne opening gifts.
It was a hot day, but gathering under the tent was nice.

It was a fun day, but me hearties this pirate is ready for bed. Arrrrrrrrrrr !

What a ton of fun - I'm super jealous. Love the costumes, and the cake, and Landon's mustache, and all the decorations...
Great job on the wrapping paper! You should take the painting class with Jean and I. You're very talented!

Kat, what a great party! We are heading for WDW in a couple of weeks and one of our favorite rides is Pirates of the Caribbean. We're all hooked on the movies too. Everyone at Sydney Anne's party just looked fabulous. I loved the pirate jail and that cake was amazing. Glad you had fun. Still praying for Gustav to dissipate. Be safe!

Blessings,
Christi

Looks like everyone had a fun day (especially you and George!). Our grandkids just left here and man, are we wore out! I love having them and seeing them enjoy each other but it's exhausting. Of course, Pop (David) had them in the backyard running them around in the wheelbarrow - they thought that was great....but it's back to normal for us tonight so maybe we'll get some sleep.

Have a safe week!

Hey. Dow told me on Friday they were heading there for the Pirate party. I saw a few pictures on Angela's blog, but yours are GREAT! Hers are too, there are just more here...I feel like I was there! Funny thing though, that picture of Dow, your husband and the people in jail, I saw that one on Angela's blog and didn't recognize that being George! :-) Too funny! It looks like a blast and I'm glad you were able to go! Small world that I would know them too, isn't it? And I'm with Jean, I LOVE your wrap job. I'll need to remember that! Cute stuff!

Arrr, Matey. 'Twas indeed a fun looking party! Tell George he makes a pretty fierce looking pirate!! Wouldn't want to run into him out on the roiling seas! lol (And bless your heart, Kat - you're just too sweet looking to make a convincing pirate!! I'd say that was a GOOD thing, though! ha!). :)
