MY WEDNESDAY...A DAY OF RUSHING

Out to dinner with our friends, Dick and Linda

Darn...it's almost midnight and I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open. Another busy day. I hate to complain about how full my life is. I love my life. I truly do, but gosh it's tiring since I literally find myself with no time for myself sometimes. Reading that last sentence, it sounds like I'm complaining. LOL I'm just frustrated because I've had no time to do my blog reading or catch up on my e-mails. Don't give up on me...I will find some time soon. I promise. I miss you all.

My full day:

Tennis 8-10 am (man, it was HOT...the heat really got to me today)
10:15 Rushed home to shower and dress
11:15 Rushed to the store to pick up a few things for Beth
11:45 Rushed to hospital to visit with Beth
1:15 Rushed to make my 1:30 hair appointment
3:00 Manicure appointment
4:30 Rushed to grocery store to pick up ingredients for strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight
5:00 Rushed home to dress for dinner
6:15 Picked up our friends, Dick and Linda, on our way to dinner. Dick recently had surgery and has had "cabin fever". So.....
8:15-11:00 Came back to our house to play cards and have dessert.
11:00 -11:30 Cleaned up kitchen, took shower.
Now: About to rush to bed. Sooooo tired.

Updates:

George is doing really good. Things have improved so much. He is still doing his physical therapy, but his pain is so much better. Praise God.

Beth is still in a lot of pain. She still can't feel her feet and most of her legs. The doctor thinks she suffered a mild stroke. They are doing an MRI. She has had problems in the past with numbness in her feet and fingers and the feeling returned. I pray this is not a permanent problem. She is still pretty much "out of it". Her Mom and I are having to feed her. She couldn't even turn over today. I had to ring a nurse to come help me change her position. She was in so much pain, I was afraid I would hurt her. It's breaking my heart. MS is a terrible disease. Please pray for her.

Paige's husband, Pat, went through his surgery and is doing good. Praise God.

Today our very sweet, very handsome, very smart grandson, Dalton, turned 14.

Happy Birthday Dalton! You always make us proud!

That's so good to hear that George is feeling so much better. But how sad for Beth. I do pray she'll make another come-back.

Hopefully today you'll have a little breathing room.

Girl, I know how you feel! Hang in there. Today is a new day! Hope that your sweet friend is doing better. I hope it's not a stroke!
Yesterday, for me, was a bad day too. It was so bad that today, I am fighting off feeling like I start where I left off. Thankfully, I can smile, today is a fresh new day! Happy Day!

If you're like me, I need that "alone" time to "fill myself up" for the rest of the day. We're not complaining, it's just the way it is. Prayers for your friend Beth. And what a great picture of you and your grandson. Happy Birthday to him:)

That is a busy day. But what a fun way to end the day, dinner with friends and strawberry shortcake.

Happy birthday, Dalton! Another handsome grandson. You and George are so blessed!

I feel so awful for Beth and her family and friends. MS is a frightening and terrible disease. I hope and pray she gets relief soon.

Dear Kat,

It is perfectly acceptable behavior to sit down and rest a while...read a magazine, take a nap, etc. Try it! :)

So sorry Beth is so bad...I pray she will respond to treatment and bounce back.

Hi Kat! I was so sorry to hear your friend Beth is struggling so much. My mom had MS also and it was the progressive kind that never went into a remission phase. You're so right in saying MS is an terrible disease. Thank you so much for being her friend and being there for her. MS can be so isolating. Glad your husband is finding relief from his pain. Yay...Friday is coming...maybe you'll get a little down time then.

Girl, you hit the nail on the head! I feel exactly the same way, even sometimes dreading the day because it is so full and busy. Just have to step back and say "Thank you God for this day and all your wonderful blessings!"!
So glad George is doing better. Hope he does not need another shot and is healed.
As for Beth, well, my Dad has the progressive MS, so it is different, but I'm sure Beth will pull back through just fine. It just takes prayer and comfort and support and you are doing all the right things. Hopefully they are able to manage her pain w/o too much heavy meds.
Thinking of you! xo
