ON THE ROAD AGAIN

***this post was imported over from my other blog Beachkat/Starting Over****

Beth and I at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Pensacola

I'll be gone for a few days. I'm driving my friend Beth to Nashville today. Beth needs back surgery and we are going to Nashville to get a second opinion from a neurosurgeon at Vanderbilt.

You might remember Beth. She's my friend who has MS...and now has two ruptured disk and is suffering terribly with back pain. Her pain management doctor is giving her a spinal injection at the surgery center this morning before we make the 8 hour trip to Nashville. I pray this treatment will give her some relief and that the neurosurgeon in Nashville will help in her decision about surgery.

If all goes well, I should be back home on Wednesday evening.

~~~~~~
Thanks for your well wishes...day 5 of antibiotics for my sinus infection and I can really tell a difference!
Hugs and kisses,
Kat
What a wonderful friend! I hope Beth gets a GREAT report.
Loved the beach baptisms. I remember going to the river as a young girl with my Poppa and Grandma and witnessing the baptisms.
Stay safe!
Praying for continued healing with your sinus infection and praying Beth is lead in direction best for her. There is a Dr here that is awesome...Dr Rick Delamarter...my aunt in Florida used him and so did my neighbor.
You're such a good friend for Beth to have. I hope she can get the help she needs for her back.
I LOVED the baptism pictures and HATED the thought of a dead snake on your pool steps. I'm so glad you didn't feel the need to show a picture of it! Every time you or Lisa tells a story of seeing a snake, I keep thinking, "And I WANT to move to Florida some day??? Something's gotta change!"
I too pray that you have a safe trip and than things go well for Beth. Yesterday, Charlotte told me to check out your post about the baptisms. Wonderful! After you mentioned taking communion every Sunday I was interested and looked up your church. Our Independent Christian Church also baptizes by immersion and takes the Lord's Supper every Sunday. I noticed Landon Saunders preached at your church back in November. He is one of my favorite preachers. I listened to his sermon and it was great. I hope you were there that Sunday. This is too much information. I apologize for rambling on. Again, I will be praying for you and Beth.
Keeping up with the healing prayers for you, and will also say some healing prayers for Beth. Hope she finds some answers that don't involve surgery at all. What a great friend you are to accompany her to Nashville. Take your time, stay safe, and hope Beth finds the trip comfortable with having had the shot. xxoo
Hi Kat,
I'd love to meet you while you are in town. If you have a moment to break away and go for coffee, I live five minutes from Fido. My guess is that your friends surgery is at Vanderbilt, which is just a few blocks from the Hillsboro Village area. Should you need anything while in town, please do not hesitate to email me bellamattonella@comcast.net.
Thank you so much for caring about your friend Beth so much. My dear mom suffered greatly with MS and her close friends really helped her during the tough times. I'm sure it means the world to her to have you at her side.
God bless you both in your travels, Sheila from west Michigan
p.s. hope you continue to feel better each day...nothing more miserable than a sinus infection!
Y'all be careful Kat and God bless you for being such a great friend to Beth. I know she appreciates it. As you probably know, my mom recently had major back surgery and boy is she a new person! She just wishes she had done it sooner. Rehab was a bear to go through but now she is thrilled she did it. I hope Beth gets the best advice possible and then is able to make the best decision for herself.
What a caring friend you are to go with Beth to Nashville. Praying for safe travels and that the doctor will be able to make a decision about her surgery. I hope Beth remains pain free on the trip and that you gals can have some fun "girl time" with each other. Love & blessings from NC!
Kat, Hope I am not too late to wish you a safe trip, but if so and you are back home, I am so glad.
Sorry about Beth, I understand back problems, I had back surgery in May 2008, recovered quickly and do great unless I overdo.
Give her my best wishes and what a great friend you are to take her to Nashville.
See you soon.
Hugs, Barbara
You and Beth are blessed to have each other. It makes an otherwise sad/boring trip, just a little better when you share it with a friend. Pray she finds an answer to her health problems. Hope you felt good enough to cheer her up. Much love from rainy NC.
