CHAMPIONS

***this post was imported over from my other blog Beachkat/Starting Over****

Pardon the bragging of this proud MeMe....

Our grandson, Carson, is a champion!
His team, The Sharks, got together this weekend for their first tournament and game together as a team.....and what did they do? They won the whole tournament !!!! George was so thrilled to be there. Our son George is one of the coaches and is so wonderful with the kids.
They played some really GREAT baseball winning 5 games in a row & pitching 2 no-hitters and 2 shut outs.

Hugs and kisses,
Kat

FUN! It's hard to describe the *bond* that develops when watching a ball tournament...even with strangers. You laugh and cheer over hot dogs and popcorn and you greet each other at the second and third games as if you are old friends. When it's over it's almost like "What are we going to do now?" Your grandson will always remember that you were there!

WOW, congrats to your son and grandson!! Nothing better than a good little league game:)

I totally agree with "Love Being a Nonny" regarding your grandson remembering you were there. My in-laws have seen my son play 1 game and they only live 30 miles away. I know it bothers my son when other team members have family members in the stand and he doesn't. (My family lives 4.5 hours away, but they try to visit when he is having games.). BUT he will always remember looking in the stand and seeing Mom and Dad:)

Hi Kat,

I am so glad to hear from you!

I love the pix of your grandson's baseball tournament team. My husband and I are baseball & fastpitch umpires. We love the sport. Our children have played tournament ball. It's so much fun and great memories! Our daughter is playing AAU Basketball and we travel quite a bit.

Have a wonderful day!

George looks so much like a sports professional in that picture. Like he's had lots of experience with baseball. How cool of him to coach a bunch of kids!

How fun! You can tell how excited they all are in the pictures.

Brings back memories Kat, both my kids played ball, my daughter went on to play Div 1 softball. Hubby was a coach too.

Congrats to your grandson...fun times !!

You should be proud

Always good when the grandparents can be there to share in a great accomplishment. Congratulations Carson and team members!

Used to watch my brothers play and there's some old 8mm film of it that was changed over to VHS. Guess we're gonna have to get it on DVD if we're going to be able to save it so future children in our family can see it since it was taken back in the 60's. xxoo
