OUR SATURDAY

I've survived the second day of No Carbs. It hasn't been easy though. Not at all! Temptation is everywhere! E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E! Especially with the boys here. It's hard watching them eat cereal, french fries, ice cream, etc. I've felt weak and headachy both days, but "this too shall pass"....I sure hope!
~~~~~~
This morning was beautiful and warm. I'm so glad because the boys wanted to go to the beach. George took them to the Beach Club and they swam, both in the ocean and the pool. Afterwards, we went to Dewey Destin Seafood for lunch. They loved sitting out on the pier and having seafood. The weather turned though and it was cooler and getting foggy.
Tonight we played Mexican Train. Guess who lost? Yep...little ole ME.
Sitting out in the fog at lunch and then riding around in the golf cart really made my hair get curly. My hair never did that until after I had radiation, so it always amazes me.
~~~~~~
Thank you Lord for this time with our grandsons!

Hugs and kisses,
Kat

I love the picture of George and the boys. And Mexican Train - the greatest multi-generational game. I remember how much fun we had playing that one evening with both sets of our parents AND Destiny!

Good morning Kat. I really need to address my carb problem. Best of luck with conquering yours.

Looks like you all are enjoying yourselves!

My mother had Typhoid Fever, when she was around 4 years old. She lost most of her hair. It grew back very curly. I wonder why this happened and why it happens following chemo, etc.

Have a wonderful week!

Tomorrow starts my *healthy eating*. We had parties thru last night, so what better time than Monday? I'll be a bear for a few days and then I will be okay. Lucky for me, hubby is doing it too. We will either love or hate thru this. UGH!!

Your grandsons are so handsome! Isn't it wonderful to spend time with them?

Happy, Blessed New Year!

I am starting my no/low carb tomorrow, when school starts back! My hair started getting curly when Ashley was born. It was straight as a stick until then!

I have to get that game, looks like something we might enjoy !!

Isn't that interesting about your hair huh ??? I had radiaiton too for Melanoma but nope I've never had a frizzy in my life, it just gets poker straight, always wanted curls. My daughter has a natural wave to her hair and she hates it. Guess the grass is always greener :)

Have a lovely Sunday,
Kathy :)

I'm starting to eat healthy, too. My friend Sharon and I went to Weight Watchers. I like it because it's just eating good for you foods with some treats, too. I think a lot of us are trying to get healthy right now.
Hugs, Susan

Hi Kat,

Looks like you are having a ball with those two guys. Good luck on the diet, I've been trying to be good on weight watchers but we went out to eat last night and I totally blew it. LOL I just started all over today. My hair has just gotten more curly in the past few years, I thought it might have something to do with menopause. I use a flat iron everyday to keep it straight but if I go out in humidity or rain, forget it. Have a good week.

Yes, carbs are so yummy....but sooo bad!! I, too, have made a decision to improve my eating habits this year.
I have been so distracted with everything going on the last 3 months, but with the good Lords help I will DO IT!!

Kat, the dishes that are on the breakfast bar; who makes them and can you take a closer shot. My daughter loves the color?
