A VERY GOOD DAY

Well, the kids now are nestled all snug in their beds. Sounds like the beginning to "The Night Before Christmas", doesn't it? LOL

Praise The Lord! I didn't wake with a headache this morning. I just had a backache, but nothing to really complain about. The four hour drive wasn't bad either. I listened to a book on tape and just moved right along.

I got to spend a little time with Eric and Angela before they needed to get dressed in their costumes for a Halloween party they're attending tonight. You'll have to go to their blogs in a few days to see how they dressed...so funny! Mom came over and we played with the kids for awhile before we took the kids out for pizza. My sister, Theresa, and our oldest granddaughter, Kristin, met us there. It was so nice getting to spend time with everyone. And can you believe it...I left my camera at Eric's, so no pictures. Bummer! It was so chaotic when we were trying to get the three kids in the car that I didn't think about my camera until we were on the road.

The kids were so cute playing when we got home. In one game we played, I would hold the TV remote and pretend to change the channels and would announce what I was seeing and they would act it out. My Mom and I sat on the sofa and the kids performed. Amazing! I would say something like "Okay, this channel shows a marching band performing in slow motion" and they would march around v-e-r-y slowly. Then I might say "This channel shows ballet dancers" or "This channel shows wrestling". Sometimes, I would say "There is no volume" and they would just move their mouths. They were very creative too.

At bedtime, after they had changed into their PJs, I let them each pick out a book for me to read. Great snuggling time.

It's been a very good day!

What a great time! That game of acting out the pretend TV shows was such a creative idea. Was that yours?

And yes, I did think of The Night Before Christmas when I started reading your post!!

I always think kids are so sweet, bathed and in their jammies just before bed.

Kat,
So glad your headaches have subsided...I get migraines periodically and they are NOT fun...I also, have wondered many times if it isn't caused by the barometric pressure...you do not know how many times my kids have commented on that scenario...they think they are so smart and funny...well, wait till they get a barometric pressure headache...lol

Your game with the grands sounds wonderful...not only does it keep them busy and you entertained...it allows you to sit w/your feet up and I know that can't happen too often!

Glad you're having fun...what an awesome grandmother you are...have a safe trip home...

blessings,
"T"

I have a very camera shy hubby, he hates being captured in photos. I think our wedding and honeymoon were the only times - oh and when holding our newborns. Hee Hee.

I read this quote this morning and thought of you by the way
"Life isn't tied with a bow,
but it's still a gift!"

I don't know who wrote it, it was on an email that was forwarded to me.
