DARN MENOPAUSE

Just one more "gift" of menopause! I'm sure Kari would agree.

I've found something that really works for me....Vaseline Deep Moisture Creamy Formula. Love, love, love it! Just wish it could be delivered to my door since it's kinda hard to find. I found mine at Target, but haven't found it anywhere else yet. Everyone seems to have the lotion formula, but not the creamy.

I went to see Dr. "B" this morning. She's my Radiologist/Oncologist. What a sweetheart she is! It's hard to believe I finished my radiation back on June 8, 2006 and even got a diploma. Dr. "B" and her staff made a scary time in my life bearable....even enjoyable. She did a quick exam today and all is good. My mammogram was excellent and so was my bone density test. Praise God!

G'day from Oztralia,

My first visit here. That's one of the most beautiful blog headers I've ever seen.

So glad to know the result of the test was good.

Yes, praise God. And I think people who work in oncologists offices are a very special breed. I will never forget the day I went along with Dick after we found out that he was diagnosed with lymphoma again - after eight years of being clear. I was feeling so afraid to hear what the doctor would say, but those girls in that office were too amazing for words. Most of them remembered Dick from 8 years before and they treated him like a long-lost buddy! I almost felt like an outsider, but it was just SO COOL.

I'm so happy for your good health.

Thanks for your lotion suggestion. I've never seen this but will put it on my list for Target! In Michigan we get some dry skin in the winter! :)

I never knew you had to go through the radiation treatments, but so glad that you're doing great and everything went well!

I've actually had a tendency toward dry skin all my life...I'm in my mid-low forties (is that a term? It is now!) and if I end up with even dryer skin, I will be buying that deep moisture cream buy the truckload! :)
In the meantime, I need to check it out!

I'll keep that in mind about the lotion for when my time comes which I think will be sooner than I hoped. If I see some of that lotion I'll send ya some!

HALLELUJAH! I, of course, have been getting to know you after you came through this, so I don't know much about it. However, I am so glad that you are still alive and well for me to write this post! You have been a blessing to me!

My skin has been getting so dry as I go through this "mental pause" thing! I can't believe how quickly this change has happened! I will have to try this lotion.

Hugs, KJ

Praise God, indeed! In Him all things are possible, so dear sweet Kat, please say a quick "Thy Will be done for Joey Andrus" as it seems God may be calling him home...Joey is not doing at all well...thanks so much for your prayers since Kari and I started asking for help in prayer. I'm so glad about your good news!

So glad your news was good. It must be such a relief to hear. Thanks for the lotion tip. As someone whose eczema flares up if I let my skin become dry, I appreciate the advice.

Kat, I hadn't started reading your blog at that scary time of your life -Cancer and radiation. I went back to the June 8th post and just loved that you got a photo of your Dr. and team. Even though it was a tough time, it is still a part of "The Book Of You".

How wonderful that the test went well. I am coming up on my 10 anniversary since I had cancer soon, but I can remember the scary times indeed.
