Well, the rain finally stopped late this afternoon. I heard tonight on the news that we got over 10 inches! It's supposed to be gorgeous here this weekend and I can believe it. The sky was absolutely gorgeous tonight. You'll have to take my word for it though. I took 10 really gorgeous photos, but then accidently deleted every single one trying to delete just one. Grrrr! So frustrating!

This morning was the third day in a row that I've had a really bad headache as soon as I wake up. It feels like migraines, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's the "red tide" or the damn blasted menopause or even the barometric pressure since our weather has been so bad. Either way, they've been pretty bad. It's been close to noon each day before I can get some relieve. Even then, once the headache is gone, I have a tighness between my shoulder blades. I think it's because my head is hurting so bad that I'm all tensed up while I sleep. I told George I'm gonna try to sleep on the couch tonight since our bed is so soft. It might help since the sofa is firmer. We'll see.

I hope tomorrow is much better and I don't wake up with a headache because I'm driving in the morning to Columbus, GA to see my son and his wife and three of my grandchildren. Eric and Angela have plans tomorrow night, so I'm staying with the children. My Mom is coming over to "play" with us. I think Mom and I will take the kids out for pizza and my sister is going to meet us. I'm so excited to get to see everyone.

Tonight was fun. Our friends, Giles and Suzette, are in town for the weekend so we met them and Jack and Linda at The Ocean Club for dinner. Giles, Jack and George all worked for the same brokerage firm years ago. It was great getting together again.

Trust you are feeling better. The picture of the grandkids is precious :o)

I love your shirt on that last picture.
I surely hope you don't have to drive with a headache this morning. How long a drive is it? Have fun with the kids, you lucky grandma!
Looks like you are going to be busy this weekend! I am waking up with headaches, too, but I have a minor back injury that keeps flaring up... I have learned that something cold on the back of my neck gives me relief.
I hope you have a great time with the grandkids! They look adorable with their faces all painted...
Have a great weekend, hope those headaches disappear real soon.
Doesn't just stink to wake up with a headache. I am glad to see it didn't stop you from enjoying time with friends.
Have fun with your grandkids. How nice that you are able to help your son and daughter-in-law get away.
Smiles!
Hope you feel better so you can really enjoy those 3 cute grandkids- pizza should be a big hit.
Always fun to go out with friends, and that you make the time to do it. I was part of a 4 couple group of movie and a dinner, but it fizzled after about 6 months.
I have never had a migraine, but I hear that they are terrible to experience! I surely hope that the firm sofa does the trick!
My head has been aching for quite some time now too. I think it's the change in weather for me. One day it's hot, then it's cold. The pressure in the air fluctuates so much and wreaks havoc on my sinus'. I truly hope you're feeling better from one migraine-sufferer to another.
Your grandchildren are adorable! I'm so excited for you and this weekend. And your dinner sounds like it was lovely. The picture is great!
Love,
Julie
Hope you are feeling better, Kat. Headaches can be so bothersome! How dare they steal our time!
Yes, our weather has cleared up here, too. It is beautiful here today. So, it should be nice for your drive to Columbus. Enjoy your trip and drive carefully.
Blessings,
Tonja
Oh Kat, I hope you feel better and it sounds like it could be a combo of all three! Nothing I hate worse than a headache...get someone to massage your shoulders and neck...have fun at the kids. Relaxation may be just the ticket!
The pictures are so good. Sorry to hear about the headaches. I know about the menopause thing. I hate it. The headaches could be sinus. We have had some nasty virus thing (involving sinus) going around. Both my kids have had it. Try drinking warm tea and put your feet on something cold. Hope you have a wonderful time with your family.
Kat, you're so photogenic! You always look so pretty in your pictures. You've got good looking friends too!
Kat: Great photo of the grandkids, have a safe drive to Georgia. I find the trick about headaches is finding something that takes them away...quickly! For me, it's Excedrin or generic thereof. I think the caffeine in it helps. Even if the headace is caused by the high humidity, it's still no fun.
Thank you so much for coming over to my new blog and leaving such a sweet comment. This weight loss thing has been hanging on me for years, as you can see! I appreciate your support.
Oh,my! I've had some fun at the Ocean Club in years past. I hope your headaches are better. I would tend to think some of it might be the weather + the red tide. That stuff is nasty.
Oh Kat, so sorry about those stinking headaches! I do think the weather plays a big part in how some of us feel.
I'm glad you felt well enough to go out with friends. You look rested and pretty in the photo, none the worse for wear!
Have fun with those grandkids! Cute face paints.
Your grandchildren are really gorgeous! You outing looked great fun too. That rain didn't look so fun by the pool though. Oh - I have given you an award, you really are a 'sweet treat'.
I just love your life :)
I hope your headaches are better soon my friend.
