SHE'S TURNING FOUR!

Sydney Anne is turning four on Sunday, but since they are leaving in the morning, we celebrated tonight. We went out for pizza and then ice cream :-)

Here she is getting ready to blow out the candle on your ice cream cone. (note: Can you see how tired George and I both look. I'm even more exhausted than I look, if that's even possible. The tennis match this morning really wore me out...AND I didn't even win!)
Angela and Kaley Grace with their cones
Landon decides to use the last of his cone for a horn....boys!

Back at the condo, we gave Sydney Anne some of her birthday gifts. One was a trunk of "dress up" costumes complete with jewelry, gloves, tiara, tutu, etc. Both girls immediately put on a fasion show:
Sydney Anne with her crown
Kaley Grace loved this outfit. She couldn't stop checking herself out in the mirror Syney Anne walks the "runway" in this one
Sydney Anne poses in another one
Sydney Anne models a "Dora" swimsuit we gave her along with some high heels and crown and gives us "the wave"...so adorable!
Afterwards, we all watched Open Season...what a cute movie!

Those are great pictures! Every year, after halloween, I used to buy up all the little princess costumes and the dresses and wigs and gloves and shoes and tiaras and whatever else I could find to give to my granddaughter at Christmas. She LOVED playing dress-up. And I sure loved seeing her do it. Don't you just love watching them primp and priss around? lol

What a wonderful ending for their vacation with you! So many good memories for them to take home and for you to think back on till you see them again.

Y'all look like wonderful grandparents!
Your comment reminds me of my mom, she enjoys time with my children, but she is wiped out when they leave!
Hope you have some relaxing "you" time!

I loved your gift idea of a trunk of dress-up clothing. That will keep the girls busy for quite some time. They look really cute, even Landon with his horn. Isn't that just like a boy?

Wow, Kat. You need to fall into bed and sleep for a week. But it sounds to me like your daughter, son-in-law (please tell me I have that right) and grandchildren had the time of their lives.

I'm so happy to be back, checking out all my favorite blogs ~ yours included, Kat!!

What a fun and busy time you've had lately with your sweet family around. Sounds (and looks) like everyone had a great time! =) What fun it would be to have a Grand Ma like you!

I'll be more regular-like now, I promise. =)

She looks like she would get along splendidly with my 3 1/2 year old daughter who also loves to dress up and be a princess.

BTW - you don't look tired and the hair still looks great!

So...Kat...are you and George planning a "restful" weekend?...I know you have enjoyed every minute with your son, dil, and the grands...but I also know that non-stop fun is tiring...hope you get some rest this weekend...put your feet up, have George pour you a nice tall glass of tea or wine...and sit out on a lounger and read, watch the stars, listen to the crickets...whatever! Just take some time to veg....

Sorry you lost your tennis match...but glad you were able to play...I'm sure you're looking forward to cooler weather.

blessings...and have a fun, relaxing weekend...
