ANOTHER FULL DAY

I can't believe it's time for my tennis team to start up again. This morning we had our first practice of the season and tomorrow morning is our first match. It was incredibly HOT this morning. Unbelievable! Pray for me in the morning. I'm taking a cooler full of ice and some bandana's to keep soaking in ice water to tie around my neck to keep me cool (I hope).

The kids spent the day on the beach and then came back to our house after lunch to swim in the pool. The girls are really improving with their swimming.

Tonight we rode by golf cart up to Grand Boulevard for Mexican at Cantina Laredo and then had ice cream at Kilwin's afterwards (surprise, surprise). Here's some photos from today:

This was taken in the front yard before leaving for dinner. The sun was pretty bright.

The kids rode with us on our golf cart and Eric and Angela followed on our neighbors cart

Does this ice cream make my hips look big? If not, it will :-) Why didn't someone tell me to stand up straight?!
Sydney Anne aka "Miss Messy Pot" and Kaley Grace loving their chocolate cones

Landon finished his quickly. He's getting so tall!
It's impossible to keep her clean!
We needed lots of napkins!
This is what happiness looks like!

Will pray you do not roast tomorrow! :-) (The ice cream will melt right off your hips!!)

You have a beautiful family - you are truly blessed. I love the picture of "happiness!"

What a beautiful family...the kids make you look EVEN YOUNGER!!! I bet sometimes when you are with them...folks may mistake you for their mom...seriously...and NO!! That ice cream does not make your hips look big...you were doing the "sassy lean"....that's what we'll call it...you know I can think of almost anything to rename something we don't necessarily like...hot flashes are now..."heat surges"...ice cream hips are now..."the sassy lean"....wrinkles...."intensely interested"....cellulite...."a new type of slimmer more user friendly cell phone"....we can always think of something better than what we would normally sadle ourselves with...

I must say I love the "does this ice cream make my hips look big"....one of my favorite lines is in the movie "Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood"...when Vivi asked Sida Lee at the very end of the movie at her birthday celebration on the front porch..."now hon...I have to ask you something serious and I need for you to tell me the God's honest truth!"..."What mama"..."Do I look fat?"...."No mama...you don't look fat...There is just enough of you. Not too much. Not too little. In fact, you look exactly right!"

I think I'm going to echo that...Kat you look EXACTLY right!
And I'm going to start repeating that as my NEW mantra...

Blessings...glad you're having fun...and DRINK lots of water and Gatorade tomorrow...and the cool towels really do help!

Do take care tomorrow!! It is just a teensy bit hot! *smile*
Net you look perfect in tennis whites!

LOVE these pictures...this is a gorgeous family! I will have to echo our dear *T* and say that you look far too young to be Grandma. Oh yep. That is for sure. You and your handsome husband are quite the pair! Stunners!

The kids are precious and adore you. That is easy to see! LOVE the ice cream faces!

Have fun tomorrow! Think cool thoughts!

Hugs,
Sue

That looks like too much fun...riding the golf cart to get ice cream!

That last photo is especially wonderful...I'm guessing you will want to frame that one- so perfect!
(And I love your haircut, too!) :)

Sydney really enjoys her ICE CREAM! She reminds me of one of my sons when he was little. He EXPERIENCED his ice cream! LOL! Great pix!

I've seen Paris use that same pose... I think it is slimming.

More great pics!! I think that last one is good of all of you. Hope you made it through the heat today!

Kat, don't you know..."anything you eat while standing, goes straight on past the hips. It is when you are sitting down that you get in trouble. See, the calories are not very good at going around curves, so they just stop at your hips...and when your hips get full, they just pile on top and that's how it gets to your tummy!"*

Hope you are not in charge of your team this year. I remember you saying last year that it was someones else's turn to do all the hard stuff.

The family looks just wonderful...and happy...and all the other contented words. I'm so glad the week has been such fun! They won't forget.

I love the pics again! BUT has anyone else noticed that they are not clickable this time? Or is there something wrong with my mouse? I don't think so, because the pics on the post below it are clickable. Hmmm. I wanted to make your hips bigger, ha, ha, ha!!!

Good Luck with your tennis league!!!

Love the chocolate all over your granddaughter's face. Beautiful family, I know I repeat myself, but what can I say.

Oh, and your hips looks fine. I just indulged in some ice cream myself.

What level do you play at?

I grew up playing tennis and would like to get on a team eventually. My sister is on several teams and plays alot! She's a 4.5, I would probably have to start on a 3.0 team. Hopefully I can find one that is fun and not so much drama. The stories, fights and problems she tells me about is why I haven't gotten on a team as of yet.
