WISH ME LUCK!
Well, today I'm finally starting back on the South Beach way of eating...meaning no carbs...meaning no chips, bread, pasta, rice, sugar, potatoes, etc., etc., etc....meaning a few irritable days until I get back into the routine. I did this about three years ago and not only lost weight, but felt better than I EVER remember feeling. I want that feeling back. Wish me luck!

Good luck, Kat. But, you look great already! I plan to start on my weight loss regimine next week. This week-end we celebrate my birthday and 4 others in August with a big party...so I know I'll cheat. So, Monday...I'll head back to Metabolic Research. I lost 30 pounds last time.
I'm already dreading those first few days and weeks.
Good luck!
You go, girl!
I love carbs too much to give them up--maybe some day I'll try it. It says a lot that you felt so great when not eating them!
Kat! I beg of you...don't do it! If you lose weight, I guarantee you, I WILL FIND IT. And besides, you can't stand to lose any weight. You'll blow away at the first sign of a tropical storm. I, on the other hand, can already withstand a full blown tornado. I don't need to be saddled with that which you have lost! lol
All of you healthy and inspirational people are going to FORCE me into doing something about my love affair with food...and I'm not sure if I'm mature enough to thank you for it. lol
Good luck with the South Beach diet, Kat. Love the Maxine toon -- love it!
Hope you feel great and lose weight too! You look great in your pics but I do understand. I'm hitting it hard today too after a week of birthday splurges :o)
Happy Monday friend!
Okay, that comment was from me. I was logged in to Julie's blog to add something to her sidebar for her and forgot to switch out of it...
I've often wondered the same thing as Maxine.
I love the pilot post.

I love the pilot post.
Giving up my carbs is too much for me....just love em!
Best of luck...specially these next couple of days. The withdrawl period is the worse, but it is amazing how much better you can feel after a few days.
Thats how I am with excersice...once I get back in the daily routine, it only takes a few days to start feeling the benefits.
Good Luck
That cartoon is so true!! Good Luck. My sister lost weight on the South Beach Diet a few years ago. I have a weakness for carbs and sweets and.......:-) I found writing everything down that I eat in the day really helps also!
GOOD LUCK Kat!
It's so hard! I'll be praying that you get through those first few difficult days with ease!
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Sandy
Good for you Kat. I haven't gotten that motivated yet but my husband and I did start back on a few weight lifting exercises today. That's a start :o)

I've not done South Beach, per se, but have done the no carb thing and it really does work. But oh.... the pain... What's life without a glass of wine and a potato chip or 50?
I know how to lose weight... We had a weigh loss challenge here at work and everyone had to put $50.00 CASH into an envelope. We had 10 weeks to lose 15 pounds. I was the smallest person in the contest and really didn't even want to 15 pounds...but when it came to me LOOSING my fifty bucks...well just to be safe - I lost 17 pounds! ha hahah ..so I am so cheap ~ I know for sure I like $$ better than food!
Well I hope it works just as well this second go around for you. I've had friends who lost mega pounds and just loved it. Yes, and feeling "great" is even better.
Just wanted to stop by and thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. It meant the world to me during a very vunerable time in my life.

I think you look fantastic! But, good luck with SB!
May you have the grace you need to go for it with the programme, but I must say Kat, you look absolutely stunning already!
good luck I know exactly what you mean about feeling better. I just told my husband last night how horrible I was feeling and I knew it was because I have been eating poorly and not exercising. I agree with Tonja you do look great but I certainly understand that yucky feeling.
Blessings
OH MY!!! No Carbs?? Those are staples in my "diet"!!! ;-)
I agree with Tonja, you look GREAT already, but I know it's all relative and the way one feel's about one's self.
Wish granted...LUCK!!!!
I wish you luck.... I couldn't LIVE without my carbs, as they are a very important part of my day! Love rice, pasta and bread! I can't eat peanut buter sandwiches without bread.....
And I totally agree - why is it so much easier to gain weight than to lose it? UGH! Me - I'm a WW drop out and I have gained all but 1 pound back of the weight I lost. Oh well! Gotta die happy!
Hi Kat!
I will pray for you tonight! Diets scare me since my mother was on every diet known to man and has struggled with her weight forever! I'm afraid that if I give something up... that's all I can think about!
I agree with all of the other gals... You are BEAUTIFUL! We do want to feel our best, though!
Love,
Angie
Kat you are so wonderful... just like you are! I hope you just eat healty and take care of yourself, the weight will follow.
Be strong~ be healthy!
Good luck but you look super great already. Boy is that Maxine right. (lol)
Have a blessed week.

I could echo everyone else's sentiments by telling you that you already look fantastic! (And you DO! I could only WISH to be that lovely!)
But it is relative and you must do what feels right for you! So, in that light, I fully support you and say GO KAT! I am betting that you can do anything you put your mind to!
And you will still be beautiful!!
Hugs,
Sue
