WORKS FOR ME WEDNESDAY - FANCY COFFEE

In the mornings, give me a Starbucks sugar free vanilla, decaf, low fat, extra hot latte' and I'm a happy girl. I go probably more than I should. But, you can't do that every day. Well, I could...but my wallet doesn't agree.

A friend gave me a BonJour Primo Latte' Frother as a gift recently. It's the greatest little gadget. I love it! It's battery operated and hangs from a small wire stand so it's easy to sit on the counter next to the coffeemaker. Here's how I use it:

I pour my coffee into a mug. In a small juice glass I pour my vanilla flavored cream and then simply insert the stainless steel wire disc of the frother into the cream and press and hold the button. (You can use cold or warm cream or milk...the health conscious will be pleased to know that nonfat milk works best.) In seconds, the milk or cream will froth to more than twice its volume. I then top off my coffee. Yum!

It's quick, it works great and I feel like I'm having an expensive coffee. This really works for me!

Yummy! I'm going to have to try this out! I love Starbucks too, but $4 every day for a cup of coffee??!! Plus they have a tip jar out too! Here's a tip for ya, lower your ding-dang prices!

What a fun little contraption, and a neat gift idea!

This morning it's 59 degrees here, so I treated myself to a cappuccino. It tastes so yummy in cool weather! I love a good, hot, sweet cup of caffeine!

Have a great day!

My stomach cannot handle flavored coffees of any kind, but I would like to get one of those thing-a-ma-giggers for company. We have a lot of friends who would appreciate something like that.

Kat, why oh why didn't I discover blogging BEFORE I bought my espresso machine! Ah just kidding. Your frother looks like a wonderful little gadget, but I love my Barista machine, too. (Besides, my husband thinks I'm something else everytime I brew him an Americano - it looks like more work than it is!).
BTW, how's this for irony? My son Kaleb is, at this very moment, in Destin with my sister and brother-in-law at the Rave movie theater. He and my husband are in Florida for the week. I hope you guys are having GREAT weather for him!

I have to go and get one of those!!
I agree with the Starbucks thingy everyday - way too costly!
I add a splash of DaVinci Gourmet caramel syrup (sugar free) as a little sweetner with my cream and it tastes the same if not better than the coffees I've been getting at SB's.
OOH..I cannot wait until tomorrow morning for a fresh cup of coffee!
Blessings

I guess this could work for hot chocolate, huh? I'm one of those folks who never developed a taste for coffee. It's just not good to me. However, I do love me some hot chocolate or hot tea.

Hi... I found your blog while reading other blogs... what can I say... I am really NOT a stalker! This still seems weird to comment on total strangers' posts!

Anyway... I just read your 100 THINGS ABOUT ME and I really enjoyed it! How did you think of so many facts? I think if you don't mind I will steal your idea and do one on my blog! IIt's amazing how many of them I could relate to!

You seem like a very sweet person!
Thanks for sharing the details about YOU!

LOL at Tracey! I have to agree with that one...Starbucks doesn't get much of my $$ these days. I can't remember the one I really love there (can you tell I haven't been in a long time), but that sounds like a neat little gadget. Luckily, I'm not addicted to coffee & drink it only occasionally.

I'm a Gevalia fan. I've been getting my coffee by mail from them for years. I just get their traditional roast and then add in a little bit of Hazelnut decaf that I get at the grocery store. All I add to that is skim milk, and it is better (to me) than any Starbucks I've ever had.

I treat myself to Starbucks almost daily-it's bad, I know. Looks like your gadget whipped you up a nice cup of java. Yum.

Oh good..I'm glad you figured out your background. Looks great and so bright and cheery. The good thing is you can change often when you get tired of it. That's what I do anyway.
