Poor Miss Daisy has been through the wringer! Last week she got spayed and then felt so bad after taking benadryl. Then yesterday George had to take her back to see the vet since she was chewing on a spot on her rump. She had a "hot spot". Bless her heart...she had to wear a collar for 24 hours and was given a shot. Poor baby. Does this little girl look happy? I think not! And me...I'm now the queen of hot flashes! A position I didn't want.
I might need to order this pin.
This lovely fan has become a part of my dressing area along with my ever present bottle of water! Night time has been a real thrill lately. Sleep for a few minutes...throw off the cover...sleep for a few minutes...pull the covers back on....start all over again.............
(update...sweet Miss Daisy got her collar off this afternoon. She's a happy girl again.)

I love your blog- I am so jealous that you lice in Destin- One of our family's favorite places- Seems like you have so much fun with all your friends-
So glad Miss Daisy got her collar off, those things look so uncomfy.
I remember well when my mother went through hot flashes and crying jags. We would be at the mall laughing one minute and the next she would be crying. Oh the joys...not!
Poor Miss Daisy! Maggie just got over chewing a huge bald spot on her rump. She has so many allergies - we've gotten used to seeing bald spots, but this one bled like the dickens. Unfortunately for her, the only med that stops the itching is Prednisone, which she can't take due to her Cushing's disease. Hope Miss Daisy never gets anything like Maggie (and Teddy too) has.
Hot flashes - know them well! I was on estrogen, then quit. Until I couldn't take the surges any more. Back on the pills, a very low dose, but enough to keep the heat manageable.
Wow! so much to comment on! Love the new blog look...very nice. A very soothing, peaceful color.
Sorry about the poor puppy. She is just not having a good month. Just love on her extra. She'll bounce back.
Nights are the worst thing in the world! I hate to even go to bed because I know I am going to wake up freezing lying on wet sheets! YUCK! Is this really necessary? After all the years we women have put in with periods, cramps, pregnancy, childbirth, yeast infections, etc., you'd think the dear Lord would take some sort of pity on us and let our moving into this "new and exciting time of life" a little more pleasant. But no, we enter it as a crying, sweating, yelling, crying, sweating, moody, sweating, crying MESS!
I'm so depressed I can't even write any more...gotta go find a fan and change the sheets.....
I feel for Miss Daisy and for beachkat! :) We used to have a mini-schnauzer - Samson and he ALWAYS had hot spots. He had bad skin!!! My mom ALWAYS has a fan blowing on her!! There is always the sound of whirling buzzing in their home. It drives me crazy but I understand the need for them!!
So sorry for you and for Ms. Daisy. Does she like chocolate? hee-hee.
You should read AGELESS by Suzanne Somers. I know, I know...she invented and shamelessly marketed the Thigh Master. But she's come a long way. The book really goes into detail about horomones, menopause, etc. I'm not there yet, but it was even great reading for me.
Poor Miss Daisy! She looks adorable in her cone, but truly miserable. My dogs are very short, so their cones get caught on the floor when they walk. It is really sad.

Something to look forward to I suppose :o)...
You look so cute riding in the boat!!!

okay, I was laughing out loud at the comment sweety left...that you "lice" in Destin!
Poor Miss Daisy--bless her heart! She needs a day at the doggy day spa with some pampering and maybe some new bling-bling to make her feel better!
I have a fan blowing on me too when I'm trying to get ready! I love that pin and think you should get one!
By the way, I love your new blog layout! Nice colors!
