I live on the West Coast of Florida, and there has been several times, especially in the evenings, we can smell the oil. So sad, breaks my heart. Just praying it doesn't travel any further and gets totally contained.
Praising with you! I just had mine and an ultrasound. Found a "thickening" .....radiologist wants to do a breast MRI....but of course insurance has to say yes! If they say no, I'm going to ask to be referred to the breast surgeon. I've had several benign biopsies in the past.
So glad you hadd a "passing grade" of "clear" on the mammogram.
I just had mine in late May. It was a diagnostic, not screening, as last year-- had some suspicious areas on a screening one. I had a "diagnostic" mammo last year which cleared the suspicious areas, and again this year which was "clear".
My biological background has an aunt who had breast cancer in the 50s when the only treatment was surgery. She is still alive today.
Again it is wonderful to receive the news of passing. And great the Gulf mess is still off shore.
I am not a rabid environmentalist, but this disaster seems a total disconnect of regulations, greed, failure to anticipate the disaster and have remedies available, failure to respond quickly by all parties, and unbelievable parochialistic attitudes.
Not accept foreign offers to assist??? Are we crazy???
No I haven't mine was due last September. But I will make that call and get it scheduled. I'm so glad about your news. Have a wonderful day today BeachKat.
Congratulations Kat to you AND to me. I'm an 8 year survivor and had my 6 month checkup yesterday with the results that all is well. I'm also an ovarian cancer survivor of 16 months!! It will be 1 year tomorrow that I had my last chemo treatment. Feel so blessed and so thankful. God is good. Yes, praise God from whom all blessings flow.
HOORAY! Great news. I'm due so I will be making an appt. soon. BTW--wanted to let you know that tomorrow--Friday--is National Flip-Flop Day. I'm sure you can find a pair to wear in honor of the day. (;0)
Bless you, dear one. I know you have to feel some anxiety each year while you wait for the results. I know I do and I haven't been through what you've been through. Don't forget...you've got to let me know if you come to Clemson in the fall so we can say hello.
Congrats, my friend. Glad to hear you got the 'all clear.' Mine is due in August and I won't miss it. It's in big PINK letters on my calendar. Breast cancer on Dad's side, uterine on Mom's side so I'm checked for both every year now that I'm past 50. Everything is good so far. xxoo
