We played a new game (for us) all afternoon and after dinner too...Kings In The Corner (made by the same company that makes Sequence). It's alot of fun. George played with us.
Thanks for your sweet comments about my last post on stressing over my "to do" list. I did manage to get a few things accomplished after church, but we had two sets of friends visiting us starting at 4:30, so time on the computer wasn't possible. Some of our friends from Atlanta that have a condo here stopped by for a drink and to see the house. They ended up playing ping pong with us and we took them for a golf cart ride to see the neighborhood. We got home with about 20 minutes to spare to quickly dress before our friends from Chattanooga came by for drinks at 7:00 and then we all went out to Cantina Laredo for dinner. Still following me? All that to say...I was exhausted by the time we got home. This morning I played tennis from 8:00 to 9:45 then raced home to shower and dress quickly since George and I had an appointment at 10:30 with my doctor to go over all the test, etc. that I had done in Birmingham. By the time I pulled in the driveway, my Mom and Aunt Sherry were just arriving. They are here for the week. Yeah! All the things on my "to do" list will just have to wait. I'm thrilled they are here!!
Here's my new "to do" list for this week: We're gonna play lots and lots of games (surprise, surprise), enjoy our wine, cook and eat lots of good food, laugh alot and spend quality time together.

From Kat
(I'm still pretty sore...more so today than before. I think it was the tennis today. I probably started back too soon.)

OH! Kat! I just love it for you when your mom comes for a visit...I think you two have the most incredible relationship. I love to hear about all that you guys do when she visits...she seems like my kind of "gal" mom! She must be incredible...after all she raised such an awesome daughter.
You guys have a blast...don't fret about us...we'll be here...when all the games have been played, wine has been drunk...or is that drank and the giggling has been lowered to a soft rumble...we will wait and be ever so happy to hear all about the trouble...I mean... fun you guys get into!!
Hugs to your mom...and blessings to all...
Teresa
Oh Kat sounds like a lovely afternoon and evening with friends and a start to a wonderful week with your mom and aunt. Forget the “to do” list and just enjoy family.
Hugs, Lyndy
Your new "to do" list is perfect! After all it's summer...Enjoy It!
Enjoy your time with your mom and aunt. They came just in time to slow you down and help you heal. God bless them!
I love your new "to-do" list--enjoy! Carpe diem!
Enjoy your week, sounds like fun. I might need to copy your list and scratch a few off of my to-do list. :) I hope you are less sore today after a good night sleep! Please pray for my mom. She is in surgery right now for a knee replacement. She is in wonderful shape and very active, so we hope for a great result. Thanks!
This is the perfect way to stress: good food, good wine and good friends and family! Stress away!
PLEASE, I am so happy that you come when you can. I would be so worried if I was one that was taken off the list... I love seeing you whenever that might be!
Yeah, maybe too soon for tennis... but hey, we go around once... take some tylenol!
Your new "to do" list sounds much funner. There will always be housework and chores and "things to do" around the house, but family and friends aren't always so close by so enjoy them. I try to remind myself that people will not look back and remember if my house was clean and everything was in place, but they will remember spending time with me (I hope).

I am so glad you shoved that other "to do" list under the rug!!! It's nice to have all of those other things under control, but you are now focusing on the really important stuff---good choice. I loved your photos of your 4th of July gathering! What a fun looking group of friends!!
You could always let Sherry do your blogging for you - she's had some experience, ha, ha!!
It does sound like you are trying to do too much to soon! Take it easy! I know your Mom and Sherry will take great care of you this week!
Have lots of fun and enjoy every moment!
Love ya,
Tracey
Okay, now that's a list I can live with! Hugs to Miss Daisy
