Eric and George are playing golf again today. Angela and the kids are in the pool and I've snuck away for a little blogging time :-)

Sssssh....don't tell him, but we're planning a little birthday party for George tonight. His actual birthday is next Saturday, but the kids won't be here then. Angela has made a huge pot of her special spagetti sauce and is making him one of his favorite desserts, Strawberry Shortcake. The house smells incredible....all those yummy ingredients, such as the carmelized onions, lots and lots of garlic, spices, etc. I ran to the store a little while ago and when I returned and opened the door, it smells like an Italian restaurant. Oh.my.word!

My mouth is watering for some of that spaghetti sauce. I love the smell of carmelized onions wafting through the house!
Dick's birthday was today, but we were hardly even together today. Finally late, late this evening we had cake and his favorite cherry ice cream with Ray and Thyda, who came home for her grandma's memorial.
I love the 3 bobble heads in the pool. Precious!
What a darling photo of the three kiddos and their goggles. What fun! You always seem to enjoy your children and grandchildren. Not all grandmas are like that, you know.
