Another fun day with the kids. I can't believe I didn't take one photo! Angela and I got in a good hour walk first thing this morning. Eric and Angela and the kids spent the day at The Beach Club, both on the beach and by the pool, while George and I ran errands, did chores, laundry, etc. Tonight we went to Baytowne Wharf and had dinner at Jim & Nick's and then went back to Kilwin's for ice cream. We watched a little of Shrek before the kid's bedtime. Then the adults played a fun card game.

This boggles my mind - Here we are swimming in our pool and/or going to the beach and I get the following e-mail message from my cousin in Minnesota:
"Snow in MN - April 6 & 7
Wow! For those who haven't thought much about how much snow we got up north on April 6 and 7, this picture might help you get an idea. Keep in mind, the snow was mostly gone prior to the new snow fall. No, these are not fawns. Picture taken near Eveleth, MN."

What a picture - in April, no less!! Dick's parents were visiting Dick's brother's family in northern Minnesota that week. I think they got 17 inches, but this picture looks like a lot more than that!
Don't forget your camera today! Have a great one.
That is a lot of snow! I guess it is so normal for people up there to experience such deep snows that they don't even bother putting it on the news here.
Awwww! Happy 1 year anniversary with Miss Daisy! I remember when y'all were about to go get her! Felt like we were all along for the trip! She is so precious and I know how much a part of the family our sweet pets become!
I could NOT survive anywhere up North! Sometimes it's too cold for me here in South Alabama! Give me the sunshine, warm weather and the beach...I'm happy!
Enjoy the weekend!
That picture of the deer shows why I live in So. Calif. Of course I was born and raised here so that might have something to do with it. It was 89 degrees yesterday. The drawback is the summer-early fall when it can reach ll0 easily in Riverside. Then the people in MN laugh at us!
Happy getting Miss Daisy day! That picture is amazing - those poor deer!
Brrrr...is right...those poor folks...not to mention those precious deer...I really did think they must be fawns...till I read the post....all I can say is WOW...and I'm glad I live where the climate is a tad warmer!!
Oh...and happy New Home birthday to Miss Daisy...she is truly a doll...I know she lights up yours and Georges world...I feel the same way about our Maggie!
Blessings...
Teresa
