I watch very little TV. It's just not my thing. To me, it seems a waste of time. Don't get me wrong, I waste my time doing others things...like spending lots of time on the computer or reading, etc. When I do watch, it's mostly the news. Two exceptions are Grey's Anatomy and Dancing With The Stars.
A commercial I've seen many, many times for Rozerem has really been on my mind alot lately. You know...it's the one with the guy who is always tired since he has trouble falling asleep. He's greeted in his kitchen by a talking beaver, Honest Abe and usually a silent, but creepy astronaut (why?). In one commercial, the guy is complaining about his restless night and one of the characters (I think it's the beaver) says something like "what, you haven't changed a thing and everything is the same...amazing!".
I can't seem to get this commercial out of my mind. It's been driving me crazy. I really believe God has placed it there because there's some things in my life that I complain about or fret about, but just like this guy, I don't make a change and then I wonder why everything is the same.
God, please help me to make the changes in my life that I need to make.

That is thought provoking and convicting. There is a saying I've heard several times - I can't remember exactly how it goes, but something like, "Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results." Another one I've heard is, "If you do what you've always done, you'll be what you've always been." That one convicts me too on several issues. Let's pray for each other!
I've never seen that commercial, but I will pray for you in finding the peace you need. I hope you can feel my (((((HUG))))))today.
Thanks girls! It's nothing "serious"...just things I want to change. It's always nice to know others care.
I love that commercial. I hadn't thought about the "change" part, I'm glad you brought that to my attention. From now on, it will be a great visual as I'm reaching for something unhealthy to eat!
Isn't it cool how God can use something like a TV commercial to get our attention sometimes? I'll remember to pray for you too!
Do you think that the Rozerem folk were thinking that when they created that entire marketing line?
I work in healthcare and people come in all the time wanting that 'non addicting sleeping pill'. Pffffft~!
You are on the right track!
Sweet Dreams.
