We had two parties last night. The first one was a cocktail party at our friend Carol's house. I didn't take one single photo there. Bad me! Here were are at Bistro Bijou in The Village of Baytowne Wharf. It's one of our favorite places. There were 13 of us at our table, but I didn't get photos of us all. It was lots of fun and the food was delish. At midnight we stepped outside for the fireworks over the bay...beautiful!
"For auld lang syne,
my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne."
Isn't it funny how we sing and hear a song so many times and have no idea what it means? I decided to look it up...a good translation of the words "auld lang syne" is "times gone by." Sooooo....when we sing this song, we are saying, "We'll drink a cup of kindness yet for times gone by."
I don't know about you, but this morning I sure wish I didn't drink quite so many cups for times gone by. LOL
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I thank you for being a part of my life. May 2010 be the best year ever for us all.
