I'M FULLY AWAKE!

I woke up this morning in a bit of a panic just thinking of all the things we still need to do for the wedding. We've accomplished a lot, but there's still sooooo much to do.

Next week, Bree and I are going here to begin our search for the perfect dress.

Hugs and kisses,
Kat

A LIST!!!!!!!! Have a great list. You will add to and take away many times, but it helps to SEE what you have accomplished! Don't forget pretty pens to sign the guest register and food for the bridesmaid/groomsmen while they are getting ready! You will look back and wonder how you got it all done, but somehow on that day, you will be ready!!

I used to read your blog faithfully and was so disappointed when you decided not to do it anymore. Then today as I was reading the comments on another blog, I saw your name and familiar picture and decided to see if you were "back in business". Yeah!!! I will add your blog back to my daily "must read" list. God bless ~

Oh the excitement of it all! Good luck on finding the perfect dress for her. Just watch yourself...you'll be all teary-eyed and emotional before you know it. (smile)

Hope you have a picture of it to show me if we're able to meet in August! I'm very excited for you both.

This will be so fun! I know the 'right' dress is out there, and I hope your path to it is smooth.

Thank you for all the kindness you have shown to me over the past few days. It has been hard, but there has been joy as well. Thank you for all your sweet words.

Oh, and Ashley just did a research paper on finding the perfect wedding dress (no kidding, remember, she is a master's degree candidate in fashion). ANYWAY... the number one advice from the paper was to try on EVERYTHING, even if you didn't think you would like it. Several brides reported they picked a dress they thought they wouldn't like but when they saw it on, they knew it was the perfect dress! Don't be stuck on one style or you may be losing out on the perfect dress!

Don't let it get to you...try and remember your day, how everything came together and how the day just FLEW by...it all works out in the end....

I had a dress all picked out and back 100 yrs ago 700.00 was alot of $$$ to spend on a dress now a days that's what the slip costs lol, my Mother loved the dress and just suggested I try hers on....I ended up wearing my Mother's dress...

So relax friend I know everything will be just beautiful :)

Hey Kat;

I can't believe you are coming to Arkansas next week to look for Bree's wedding dress! OH MY GOSH GIRL.....do they ever have a selections of dresses! My daughter Cortney purchased her bridesmaids dresses from Low's twelve years ago. Trust me you will not be disappointed!!!

I live less than an hour from Brinkley. Are you all driving or flying?

Kat,
I went to the Low's site...and they carry several GREAT brands! I have had brides wear almost every type and brand dress imaginable. I do agree with Teri's advise from her daughters research...when we went w/my daughter...she kind of had an idea in her mind what she wanted to wear, but luckily for us the associate that worked with us told her to try on everything...that would make it fun AND it surely did...low and behold she didn't get a dress anywhere near what she thought she would...once she tried those types on...she didn't like how they looked on her body. She ended up getting a "Priscilla of Boston" original...and it was stunning. Her bridesmaids wore Watters & Watters and we were thrilled with those as well.
Remember to take your camera...we took pictures of her in every dress...so she could look back over them before making up her mind...it gets a bit overwhelming looking at so many...so it helps to "sleep on it"...but as they always say...she will KNOW when she finds the right one.

Have fun, make memories, and enjoy every minute of this...

Blessings...
Teresa
