Happy 4th y'all!
I hope your day is filled with fun, good food, fellowship with friends and family and lots of memory making moments.
I spent the morning at the "doc in the box". I've been fighting what I thought was a sinus infection turned into a cold or flu for weeks now. Last night it hit me hard. Fatigue BIG TIME. Coughing every breath. Headache. Ear ache. You name it, I have it.
Turns out it's a bad case of bronchitis. I should have known. I'm prone to it and it usually takes awhile for me to kick it. So...I'm on another round of antibiotics plus a steroid, and some serious cough syrup. The kind that makes you sleepy. So I've changed into my comfy clothes and I'll be on the couch watching movies and snuggling with Miss Daisy for a few days.
I'll miss the party we were supposed to attend tonight (pooh!), but if I'm awake I'll watch the fireworks at the village from our front windows.
Just wanted to say HAPPY 4th OF JULY EVERYONE!
Hugs and kisses,
Kat

I am so sorry that you are sick. My daughter had pneumonia this past week, 2nd time in the past 2-3 months. I am so glad that you are back. I had clicked on your blog to see if anything would happen, and you're back! Yeah!!
I hope that you and George have a good weekend, and I'm sure he will take good care of you!!!
Get better soon, Kat!
Happy Fourth my dear friend! Just take it easy and get better!
So sorry that you are sick.. I so get the fatigue...I think after our last 12 days it has hit me. Once the crisis is over, you realize how drained you are. Knowing my own body, if I don't stay in and rest a few days and regroup, I will be sick...
we are going to see the little one and then watch the fireworks with the other 3 GRANDboys at Harrah's (which is the old Louisiana Downs)! My Dad owned race horses for so many years and I watched so many races on those tracks that just being there, brings back so many memories. And for some reason that has made me so emotional today. Was just thinking how much I wish he could meet his newest little namesake, James Grayson Powell.
Rest and feel better soon...God Bless the USA!

So sorry to hear you'll miss the party tonight, but glad you're taking good care of yourself. Yes, watch the fireworks from the window then you can nap if you want to.
I'll be watching the TV coverage from the Harbor. Too many people for me to be out and about alone, especially adding all the people who will be at the festival near the baseball and football stadiums near there.
Take good care of you, dear girl. xxoo
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, Kat! Feel better soon!
We've had our main meal of the day. The usual July 4th foods. From here on, it's leftovers for everyone and a nap for me!
Hoping to see fireworks across the cove, this evening.
Happy 4th!
Get well soon, Kat. I'm sorry you're sick! ((hugs))
You poor thing! I'm on my third week of this thing and I just feel like I'm starting to shake it off! It's quite a bugger! Rest & get well soon!

Glad you're "home!" Please take good care of yourself. I hope you'll feel better soon.
You don't know me, but I have been following and ENJOYING your blog and was very sad when I saw that it went private (but I understand). I still kept your blog in my favorites and lo and behold, today I checked it again and YOU'RE BACK:):) So glad you are back but sorry you are sick - take care and hope to be reading a lot more of "Just a Beachkat".

I'm so sorry you feel so horrible. I hope all the resting and meds will make you feel all better again soon.
Pooh, so sorry you are sick!
I bet Miss Daisy is enjoying the company and movies...
Feel better soon,

Get better! Happy 4th to you! We had lots of fun with my husband's sisters. They were in town. One from Colorado and the other from Texas. It was a great 4th. Have some chicken soup, and call me in the morning. HA HA HA

So sorry to hear you're under the weather...nothing worse than being sick during a holiday! My Doug isn't feeling the greatest either so we stayed close to home. We also live in a tourist area along the shores of Lake Michigan and we are loaded full with visitors too! I'm glad for our local merchants.
Well I hope you feel better. I get those terrible bronchitis "colds" a couple of times a year and have a terrible time getting rid of them. My brother gets them too, but neither of our spouses do. None of us smoke...I wonder what it is about us that we are more inclined to have chest/ear/throat problems?
Hope you stay awake for the fireworks...I don't think I will!
Sheila from west Michigan
Glad you went on to the doctor. Now take your meds and REST!!!
We just finished eating and I am already in the bed! Take care!

Oh Kat Sweetie...take your meds properly, have a good lie down and drink some chicken soup twice a day!!! Keep those kidneys clear with a lovely Cranberry Highball (1/2 cranberry juice, 1/2 good strong ginger ale...wish you could get some Blenheims!!) Thinking of you!
