Mom and Sherry left this morning after the four of us had breakfast at our favorite bagel shop. It's owned by a friend of ours who comes over to play games at least once each time Mom and Sherry are in town. Her bagels are wonderful and her shop is right by the bridge so it's easy for the girls to head back home right after breakfast.Just like every time before, it's always hard when they leave. This time especially for some reason. And just like every time before, I have mixed feelings. I'm sad to see them go and I miss them as soon as they drive off, yet it nice for things to get back on schedule and I'm happy to spend more time with George. It's a crazy mix of different feelings.

On Friday night, we celebrated Jeanette's 60th birthday here at our house. Jeanette's Mom is visiting from New York, so it was fun having her and my Mom here at the same time. Dick and Barbara were here too.
Here's the girls - Sherry, My Mom, Jeanette, Me, Jeanette's Mom, BarbaraThe men were here too. I don't know why they're not in the photos. Mainly because they were taking the photos and doing the grilling, I guess :-)
Me with my Mom. I sure do love her.
Jeanette and her Mom, Tillie
Sherry, Mom, MeThey sure did help with everything for the dinner/party and with the cleanup afterwards!
Jeanette makes her birthday wish as Garrett watches
The Three Muskateers - Barbara, Jeanette, Me
Jeanette got a kick out of all the birthday cards.
Jeanette's request - a game of Mexican Train dominos! We didn't stop until 11:50 PM. You can bet there was lots of giggling around that table.***********************************************
A prayer request please - My dermatologist is treating a cyst on the middle finger of my right hand, but I might need to see a hand surgeon. Please pray her treatment works so that won't be needed.
Hugs!
(I'm catching up on things around the house, but I'll be by to visit everyone soon. I've sure missed visiting my blog buddies.)

Yes, I do pray that the dermatologist's treatment is all you will need. I admit I was curious about that dermatologist visit was about the other day.
That birthday party and the game of Mexican Train looked like such fun.
Kat,
It was just wonderful to hear about the great fun you had with your mom and Sherry. I know the visits must be bittersweet. Thanks for letting us have a peek into your week.
Praying your doctor is able to treat you and that you will have no need to see a hand surgeon.
