Remember a few days ago when I mentioned how seaweed seems to like to come in July?
Well, it's here!
We've had afternoon showers almost every day, but our mornings have been beautiful. Today we had a good old storm and it brought in the seaweed.
I took these photos tonight before sunset. You can see "islands" of seaweed heading into the beach. That's okay, it's nature's way of building up/strengthening the beach and it won't last. At least it's not the slimy yucky kind.
I sure planned to post different photos tonight. My Mom and Sherry arrived on Thursday and planned to spend a week. We've been having lots of fun doing our usual....playing games, cooking, eating and enjoying wine...but I didn't take a single photo. I thought we had plenty of time. But...
Sherry got a call early this morning from the police letting her know her home security alarm was going off. Her house was broken in....again! So she and Mom had to quickly pack up and rush back. I'm so disappointed they had to leave. And even sadder because the thieves got away with her computer and two jewelry boxes. Grrrrrr!

Hugs from the beach,
Kat

The seaweed is crazy!
I'm so sorry about the break in. That's horrible. So maddening to have to leave early on top of having things stolen.
Oh no!!!! That's horrible about the break in. I can sympathize. I've been broken into 3 times over the years and it is a HORRIBLE feeling. On the upside, it was nice that y'all could visit and have so much fun before the bad news. I never minded the seaweed either. Just part of nature.

I dont understand the seaweed part . Dont beaches normally have seaweed? Where I am we have it all the time . I am on the west coast on Vancouver Island , would there be a difference with colder water . Your beach is lovely , the sand is gorgeous , ours is grayer and some is more pebbly. Poor Sherry having her home broken into . What a shame to have things stolen. Your new home looks beautiful , how is Miss Daisy liking living at the beach . Donna

We arrived in Destin last night. I have to say, even with the seaweed, it is beautiful. Just had breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Thinking about going for a walk. I will call you later to see about meeting up. Sorry to hear about your aunt. Take care! I love this place!!!

Well goodness, that's a terrible thing to have happen. Poor Sherry!
Love the photo's Kat,and yes it's JULY already! Do you realize Rylan and Daven will be ONE in just three months. I can hardly believe it.
Hope you have blessed day.
(hugs)
Sorry about the breakin, but loved seeing the seaweed photos.
I'm so sorry about the break-in to Sherry's house. It's bad enough for thieves to take something like a computer, but it's heart-wrenching when they take jewelry that has a special meaning. I have my grandmother's and mother's jewelry, and it would just about finish me off if any of that were to disappear.
Gosh I hate that for her! Such an invasion of privacy!!!! Such a sad way to end your visit!
Did you get to visit with Teresa???
Thank God she waswn't home !!!! Terrible but it could have been much worse, wish your sister Happy Birthday on OUR day :) 14th Yay !!
All the best,
Kathy :)
