A HAPPY THOUGHT

I don't know about you, but I'm happy it's Friday. This has been a busy and tiring week for me. All the yardwork (and watering...gosh, that takes a lot of time) has worn me out. Everything is looking good though and surprise surprise - the garden club has nominated our yard for an award. I doubt very much we'll win, but it's always nice to get recognition for hard work.

Tonight we went to a wine tasting with our close friends, Dick and Linda. It was a lot of fun. I forgot my camera (?!), but took one shot with my iPhone.
~~~~~~
My Mom and Aunt will be coming for a visit on Monday. Can't wait to see them.
~~~~~~

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions to the all important question on my post yesterday about my haircut tomorrow. LOL I'm still not sure what I'll do. I'll decide after I show the photo of the Twiggy cut to the girl who does my hair and see what she says. Bree said she liked the cut a lot, but for me to be careful that I don't end up with a Carol Brady look. LOL
~~~~~~
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs and kisses,
Kat
Kat, I hope your yard wins an award...probably will...Cutting your hair is always a scary thing. Two years ago my hair was below my shoulders and I just knotted in the back or wore a pony tail...a friend got tired of hearing me complain and said go to this particular hair salon and just tell them to cut it....Idid and over the last 2 years it has had many different looks, but I have just loved it and so does everyone else, My point is ..if your stylist is good, just let her or him do it....it will grow back.
I can't imagine any hair do not looking cute on you.
Glad your Mom and Aunt are coming....try to relax and enjoy the weekend.
Your friend in blogland,
Barbara
Good morning Kat,
Deciding on a haircut is challenging and unnerving. I sometimes think about a new in 'do', but then chicken out. I have always had long layers and two visits ago, after much prodding on my part, my very young hairstylist told me I shouldn't grow it any longer. In other words, I'm too old!!!! Ouch! Then at the airport one day I noticed a 'girl' in front of the me at the coffee shop and she had the most beautiful hair and a very cute style and then she turned around and I was shocked. Her face did not match her look and I don't want folks to have the same reaction when I turn around. So I sadly am resolved to keeping it just a little below the shoulder.
The coffee shop you must be thinking of is Bongo Java...home of the 'nun bun'. Are you familiar with that story?
It's a fun day here in Nashville. The County Music Marathon, Frankin Spring Festival and the flea market. Extra coffee for me!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
From the pictures you have posted of your yard, I think you could very easily win this award. Your yard is fantastic. Somehow I doubt you'll look like Carol Brady. I'm sure you'll be hot like Twiggy. Enjoy your company and relax this weekend. You certainly deserve it after all the work you have been doing. My big thing this weekend is the March for Babies walk on Sunday morning and now they are saying it is going to rain. Just my luck to walk six miles in the rain. Oh well, we know I won't melt! The great news is I surpassed my goal and raised $555.00.
Carol Brady? HAHAHAHAHA Bree is a riot!!!!
I have to tell you, after your post about a haircut; mine started weighing me down. :) I made an appointment yesterday, now I feel ten pounds lighter!! I LOVE IT, and so will you!!! Mine is thick like yours.
Have a fabulous weekend, Kat!!
Hi! Just getting caught up with you. Good luck with the yard contest and regarding your haircut - well, I think you would probably look great no matter what style you have.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Too funny about the haircut, I'd have not thought Carol Brady...LOL The Brady cut is longer and fuller in the back and not nearly wispy enough. CB almost looks like a mullet for short hair. Twiggy's cut is overall layered even through out the back, shortest cut at top of ears.
Ah you're cute no matter what you choose!!
