RECAP OF MY TRIP

I had a wonderful time, but gosh it's good to be home!

Here's a re-cap of my trip:

Do you remember seeing the clowns at the circus ride into the tent in a tiny car and being amazed at how many clowns fit in one tiny car? Well...I drive a small 4 seater convertible and that's about how we looked driving to Atlanta once I picked up Mom, my sister Karen and Bet aka "Other Mother" on Friday. Plus, we couldn't fit all our luggage in the trunk so some of it had to ride in the car with us. LOL
~~~~~~
We weren't in Sherry house 30 minutes before we kicked off our shoes, poured some wine, gathered some snacks and began playing games.
We played Chicken Foot dominoes until bedtime and then got up on Saturday morning and played again. We stayed in our "jammies" and played all day...stopping only for breakfast and lunch.
Here we are dressed and ready to leave for dinner and the play.
You should have seen me trying to set up my camera using the self timer and then rushing to get back in place before the time is up. (Why didn't someone tell me to powder my shiny red nose?!)
Me with Mom and my sister Karen
~~~~~~
We met 11 of Sherry's girlfriends for dinner and then we saw Food Fight at The 14th Street Playhouse.
Taking place in a women’s only gym, four ladies belt out hysterical song parodies about food, diets,exercise, plastic surgery, and cooking shows.

Food Fight:
A Musical Comedy For Waist Watchers!: This is a brand new musical revue that is sweeping the nation. In gyms, in restaurants, in doctors` offices, and at home... men and women can’t stop talking about this feel good show that thrills and inspires them. Food Fight! is a hilarious and poignant look at the one topic that is constantly on everyone’s minds & tongues: FOOD! Throw in the pleasures and neuroses that come with this universal obsession and you can see why Food Fight! is a surefire recipe for success. Critics are raving and the audiences keep coming back for seconds, treating friends and family to this musical diet.
The reviews in the Saturday morning paper weren't good, so we hoped for the best. You can't always go by the reviews. We really enjoyed it. Lots of good music and the storyline was great. It wasn't as good as some we've seen before, but it was still a lot of fun.
Here's the 16 of us after the show.
~~~~~~
We stayed up late playing more games, eating dessert and laughing. So much fun.
We left after breakfast on Sunday morning and headed back to Columbus. After I took all the girls home, I went to spend the night with Eric and Angela and my grandchildren. While Eric and Angela went out for a "date night", the kids and I went out for pizza and ice cream.
They love to make silly faces when we take pictures.
They really are sweet together....best of friends.
~~~~~~
I stayed until we all met Eric for lunch today and then it was time for me to drive back home. It's always hard to leave them, but we got a good group hug in the parking lot before I left.
~~~~~~
Thank you Lord for time with family.
I think playing games is the best when it's with people you enjoy playing with and you girls really seem to have a good time. My sisters and I enjoy playing 'killer rummy' where you use the whole deck, including the jokers which are used as wild cards. The Queen of Spades is worth 100 points, but hopefully you'll be able to play her before someone goes out or you lose 100 points. It's very thrilling! :)
Love those smiles on your grandchildren, they are adorable. You are truly blessed. Welcome back! xxoo
