MY SATURDAY

Funny story:

While George played golf today, I decided to run a few errands. While shopping, I had a lady stop me and ask "Pardon me...may I ask your advice please?" Of course, I said yes. She preceded to explain that she had a formal dinner to go to and needed some advice on what color stockings to wear. She went into great detail describing everything...from head to toe. I gave her my best advice. She thanked me and said "I knew you were the one who would know best." I thought "Wow, she must think I'm a "Fashionista"! "She must think I'm the best person in this whole store to ask advice about fashion."
Until....
Drum Roll Please!

I remembered I was in Walmart! LOL

~~~~~~
We had dinner tonight with our friends Jack & Linda and Dick & Linda (too many Linda's in my life LOL). We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Borago in Grayton Beach.
I ordered my favorite salad - Arugula with Gorgonzola, toasted walnuts, lemon and extra virgin olive oil and my favorite entree - Fusilli with toasted pine nuts, artichokes, calamata olives, fresh mozzarella and basil pesto sauce and I added grilled shrimp to it. Oh.My.Word! Delish!
Dick & Linda brought along two bottles of wine they brought back from Italy. Really really really good wine. It looks like Dick was feeling his wine!
I love the Walmart story, but I think she asked just because you looked classy!
I might have to have Bob duplicate that photo for my kitchen. I think your meal sounds scrumptious. I wonder if Bob can duplicate it for me.
That is SO funny. I have the same experiences...people in Walmart or the grocery store ask me things all the time. People in Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus never give me a second look....
well you must have been dressed nicely on saTurday.I don't get what the reference to being in Walmart had anything to do with what color stockings though?? I must have missed the punchline. She must not of gone to many formal functions. Donna
Hmmmm......so you're asked in WalMart and not in the ritzy stores, I don't think I would have posted that if I were you!!! Jokes on you, maybe you should ask the people in Neiman Marcus for fashion advice since you, too, shop at Walmart like the rest of us.
Honey, I would ask your advice too...you are the epitome of class and style no matter where you shop!!!
We had a beautiful day here also-my daffodils are trying to bloom which is usually a good indicator that more winter weather is headed our way.
I love WalMart, but Target is my all time favorite. I have a summer skirt that I got at WalMart and every time I wear it, I get a compliment. When I say I got it at WalMart, people just about drop their teeth. Sometimes you can find cute "treasures" at places like that. I just usually stumble upon them while shopping. Love & blessings from NC!
LOL about your Walmart story! I have a cup ggiven to me in a 'preppy pink swap' that says...'If I die in Walmart, drag my body to Neimans'!! SO true for me ... I just can not do Walmart. I hate being such a snob but I always get creeped out in there! ;)
