HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!
You certainly don't look 80!
I hope I have inherited your genes :-)

Somehow (?) the settings on my camera were obviously "off" so the coloring isn't the best, but at least we got some photos of the night. This one shows Mom reaching in and taking another card/letter out of her LOVE BOX.
A few weeks ago I asked everyone in the family to write a personal hand written card/note/letter to Mom/MeMaw letting her know how much she is loved and to mail them to me along with a photo attached. I mean EVERYONE, even the children. And they did! I put them all into a big box and we presented it to her after her birthday dinner. It was a big hit. Mom was thrilled!

I love the idea where everyone wrote something to your mom....how very special! And she can read them over and over!
And yes, your mom looks young for 80! A great family photo as well!

Your Mom is beautiful and I do think you got her genes! My Dad turned 80 in March and like your Mom doesn't look or act it. :)
I love, love, love your love box idea!
Happy Birthday to your sweet sweet (and young looking) mama!

Aw, I would have NEVER guessed 80, Kat! It's easy to see where you get your beauty from. Happy Birthday to your Mama! I know she enjoyed her time with all of you so much and the Love box idea is fantastic. It is so wonderful that everyone participated. That's such a special gift. Thanks for sharing this celebration with us. Have a fantastic week! *hugs*
Such sweet pictures! I loved the box of letters idea. So much more meaningful than anything money could buy. And it's a really cute box! Very youthful 80 year old, and sure looks like you got the genes.
So glad your mom had a great birthday, and no she doesn't look her age! I'm sure her beautiful daughters, and grandchildren help to keep her young!
Wonderful family photo's, Kat!
((hugs))
Happy Birthday to your Mother!!! Wow she does not look 80!! ... beautiful photos!!! What a fabulous idea for a gift.. there is nothing like a handwritten letter .... blessings xo HHL
What a great idea! The 'Love Box' is a perfect gift for someone who is as special as she is.
A love box, what a terrific idea!
Your Mom does not look her age. It is so nice that all her family could be there to celebrate.

What a priceless gift to give to your Mom - nothing more important than family. Happy Birthday to your beautiful Mother. You are so fortunate to have such a lovely family...
God Bless!!!
oh - I love that idea.. and you are right - she does not look anywhere near 80!!
What a wonderful gift and a beautiful lady...
You look so much like your mom! I can see you in her. What a lovely way to celebrate!
Happy Birthday to your sweet Mother! May the Lord's blessings be upon you and yours.
Your mom looks great! Love the letters in a box idea! When my daughter graduated from college, I sent invitations to old friends, family and school teachers. They in turn wrote her a note mailed to me. I put them each in a book. She treasures that book....so do I!
What a fantastic birthday for your Mom. You're right. She certainly doesn't look 80.
Hope you sell your home soon. I know waiting is hard to do but you're right. God's timing is not always our timing. On your latest post, I like your computer. It looks a lot like mine. But the iced coffee. Nope, I love hot coffee, but can't imagine drinking it iced. With tea it's just the opposite. I love iced tea, but don't care for it hot. Just curious, have you put Lion on your computer? I really like the way it changed the look of mail.
Hugs,
Charlotte
