YIKES!

I'm back from my blogging break, but I feel like I need another one! I'm "burning the candle at both ends" rushing around trying to get caught up. Not only did I take a break from blogging, but lots of other things too. Believe me, I'll be a busy girl for the next 10 days before Bree and Jay and Jay's Mom arrive.
~~~~~~
Mom and Sherry left yesterday morning. We had 8 wonderful days filled with our usual fun. Mom and I worked in my yard several days, but most of the time we played games. Lots of games. Lots of fun and wine and laughter too, of course.
~~~~~~
Recently our minister requested 4 church members to give a short testimonial about their journey of faith. On Sunday morning George gave his. I was so proud of him! He talked about the bumps in the road that tested his faith. I'm so glad Mom and Sherry were able to be there too.
~~~~~~
I can't wait to visit all my blogging friends. I'm reading a few at a time between my chores. Oh, how easy it is to get lost in reading and forget the time though.
What a nice surprise I found this morning!
Teresa at Grammy Girlfriend gave me this Kreativ Blogger Award over a week ago and I just found it this morning. Thank you so much Teresa!
One of the rules to this award is that I must list seven things I love.
1. my husband
2. my children and grandchildren
3. tennis
4. riding bikes
5. blogging
6. chocolate...any chocolate, but dark chocolate is my absolute favorite
7. photographs, especially of my grandchildren
~~~~~~
It sure was nice to be nominated, but I didn't win the American Pride Landscape Competition. Sigh! Because I was nominated I have been invited to the Awards Luncheon and Recognition of the 2009 Gardens and Landscapes for South Walton County.
~~~~~~
That's all for now....
Hugs and kisses,
Kat
Oh my, a break, do take it. To take on everything you are doing right now, a blog break at least from writing is most essential. I know the feeling right now. Enjoy your company. Rest a little before they come.
That is so neat about George. Even better that your mom had the opportunity to get to know him a little more. It can be hard for men to open up sometimes. My husband is so used to a secret-filled life that it is very hard for him to open up, creature of habit. He's perfect for his job...LOL.
Nice to see you back Kat! It's always nice to take a little break from routine, isn't it? I'm really in need of a break myself. Soon maybe. ♥
I know you are proud of George and were probably a little nervous for him too!! Good for him to rise to the challenge. It's not always easy for men to share!!!
I would love to see the yard that won the award. As good as yours looked, if you didn't win, the winning yard must be amazing!!!
Let me know when you start The Shred!!
Glad you are back. I missed you!
I'd have loved to hear the story of George's faith journey. Was it recorded?
Good to see you back my friend. I know what you mean about burning the candle too. I've burned quite a few the past couple of weeks trying to get well. I'm coming back though and hope to be in full 'post mode' soon.
Love that George gave his testimony before the church. Wish I had been there to hear it. Bless his heart.
Glad you had fun playing games cause I know you love it. The Sisters and I can't get together without someone suggesting we play cards. :)
Ease back into the blog, that's what I'm doing too. We'll both get 'addicted' again soon enough. xxoo
Kat, I think most of the bloggers on here probably feel like you and are burning the candle on both ends. I guess that makes us who we are and how we feel about our lives....living to the fullest.
But you should slow down some.
Sorry you didn't win, I think all of us would have given you the award. Congrats on the blogger award.
I need to start packing and setting things up for my animal caregivers....poor things, they are really going to have a busy week.
I will try to blog while we are gone and send pictures.
Hugs,
Barbara
Hello, I've just strolled into your blog for my fist visit. I too know that game of "playing catch up!"
I enjoy visiting everyone's blog, but it's difficult to keep up with it all. Especially the demands away from the computer. Now that summers is finally approaching it will bring family and friends for vacation and for some reason my house insists on me helping with the preparation for their arrival!
You've got some of the cutest pics and GIF's I've seen. I adore adding fun attractions to my blog too.
I've enjoyed my visit to your charming spot. I'll be by again.
Come visit. I'd enjoy the company.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
Hi Kat,
Just do what you can and catch up when you can, I think most of us understand how hard it is to keep up with everyone we love to read in the blogging world. I love that George gave a testimonial at your church, how special it must have been for all of you!
Hi Kat,
Good to have you back...I did miss seeing what you were up to and it sounds like you had a lot of fun! How neat and brave for George to share. He is a sweetheart and you are a lucky girl! We are counting down the days until we visit my sweet Bella in Colorado. I can't wait... we leave next Friday. :)
Connie
Happy Mother's Day!!!
