I'm not...really...but I might need to put this on my mirror to remind me.

'cause I sure feel like a whimp tonight. I (finally) started the 30 Day Shred. It's an exercise DVD by Jillian Michaels, the fitness guru and trainer on The Biggest Loser show. I ordered it weeks ago, but life got in the way...hey, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it...but tonight was the night to get started.
And I feel like a whimp. But not for long. I'm gonna whip this 56 year old body into shape. Oh yes ma'am I will! (said with authority!)
Like my Mom says "getting older ain't for sissies".

Good for you! I REALLY need to do something - I need to lose some weight and get in shape. This 63 year old body is terrible!
I am impressed that your arms can still touch the keyboard! Is it not the hardest thing ever? And that's level One.ugh!
You can do it. I am 52 and just completed Day 9. It does get easier...a little:(
You go girl! I work hard enough at the job and don't rest like I should. That DVD would probably kill me. :) I get upper body workouts from crocheting ... lower body? We won't even go there, ok? Let's just say I like my seafood. :) Good Luck with the workouts ... I do like Jillian and watch the Biggest Loser all the time. xxoo
You are not a wimp! That is hard stuff, but I promise, you begin to get more stamina and it begins to be not so hard. I won't say it gets easier. The sisterhood is starting another shred challenge on Monday. Use these next few days to get use to it and then start with us on Monday. I'm so proud of you!!
Good luck with Shred. I need to shred or shed or just tape my mouth SHUT!!! I can't stop eating and it's been raining here for so long that I've not been able to get out and walk. UGH!!!

I wished we lived closer because it would great fun and incentive to have a gym buddy. I've been doing pretty good with my hubby training me and then going by myself to work out on the elliptical. I didn't realize how out of shape I am and not only that but I feel so good after the workouts. Good luck Kat! Maybe we can cheer each other on!
I love Jillian! I haven't heard of this workout, but I think I'll have to look into it. It looks like it would be fun to do!
You go girl! You're not a wimp! It takes some adjusting, though, when you first start to exercise hard. Hang in there--it will get better. I've given up DVDs in favor of exercise classes at my local wellness center--I find the other women around me really inspire me to do more. Good luck!
