SLOW AND STEADY

There's still plenty of SCARY stuff in my closet and I did work on it a little bit more today, but I still have a l-o-o-o-n-g way to go. It's amazing how easy I can get talked into doing something else. After church and lunch, George wanted us to ride our bikes over to the gym and work out. As much as I didn't want to get out in the heat, getting out of the closet sounded good to me. And it really was good to be outside. Today was HOT, but so gorgeous. It's hard to believe there's another hurricane out there threating to come this way. Please Hurricane Ike stay away! Anyway, back to the closet....I'm really taking my time and going through everything, and I mean everything. Plus, I'm taking everything off of each shelf and wiping each shelf down. If I'm gonna do this, I might as well do it all the way. Slow and steady. I will do this!

Good for you for taking on this task! I need to do the same.

We will be thinking about you and the impending Hurricane Ike. Maybe it will stall out on Cuba. (We can hope!)

Oh, I have that on my to-do list - clean all the closets. Right now - I am working hard in my yard and it is so hot, but I am determined to catch up on all the work I've been so behind on.

Nice to see you Kat - take care - and be safe - Kellan

Boy, you and Tonja both cleaning out your closets. I'm starting to feel convicted, ha, ha! I had all summer to do mine and didn't. Oh well, there's always next summer.

There is nothing more liberating than having a clean closet and also a clean pantry, laundry room and linen closet...shall I say more?

Hugs my friend! Thanks for your prayers!

Before this is over, you're going to be able to teach a seminar on Proper Closet Cleaning 101. lol

Good luck - take a picture of your "to go" pile so we can see the results of your hard work!

Good for you tackling that job. UGH, I really need to do this too but I'm cleaning up the basement now & that's much easier than my closet...I'm really dreading that job.
But when you get rid of stuff you can buy more, right?

I've got something for you, hop on over,DebraK

Wishing you the best through these storms. This sure has been a stressful year. Hanna was a breeze for us literally.

Kat,

I'm impressed. Maybe your inspiration will rub off on me and I will clean my closets too.

Make sure to take lots of breaks.

I'm amazed at all the stuff we can cram in our closets no matter the size. Good luck on completing your task today.

Hang in there... you'll get through it. Once a year my best friend and I tackle my closet and she helps me 'objectively' eliminate things I really do not need. Mostly clothes and such - she really helps me put things into perspective and makes my closet a lot easier to navigate!
