Well, here I am again. I keep saying I'm gonna blog again and then weeks go by. I'm thankful for those of you who email to check on me and say you miss me. I really do. I miss my blogging and the blogging community. To tell you the truth, I've been frustrated because every time I blog, I begin to get scam comments. It's so frustrating and it makes me want to stop blogging all together. Just who are these unknown characters who somehow get our blog addresses and try to sell us something we don't want? Grrrr I've asked a few of my blog friends what to do. They have suggested that I use word verification. Soooooo...I just changed my setting. Let's see if that helps. If you have another idea, please let me know.
We have had some incredibly beautiful weather and, even though it's November, it has continued. I've been spending lots of time on our balcony and loving every second.~~~~~~
its so nice to keep the doors open and listen to the waves |
my flowers are loving it too :-) |
I'm definitely NOT ready for winter. How about you?

Hugs from the beach,
Kat

Hi, Sweetpea!! Lovely to see you back, and I've missed your cheery voice.
I seem to have acquired a word verification without asking for one, but since, no spam. (Which, if it HAD gone through to my comments, I'd have been mortified: It was mostly ads for things I didn't want, or offers to enhance things I don't have).
SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!

Hi Kat! So good to see a post from you. I have my comments set so that I see the comment in my email. Then I mark the spam in my email and it seems to help. Also, mine is set for no Anonymous comments....which you've probably already done. Some people have theirs set so no comments are posted until approved. It may come to that for all of us because the predators are definitely out there. I've noticed on my blog roll that some of the blogs I used to read, that are no longer active, seem to have been completely taken over. Now that would make me mad!
Come back to posting soon. Those of us who will be dealing with winters will love seeing your sunshine. :)
hope your new settings work...like i mentioned to you i have mine set up where i have to approve a comment and i get notified by email if i have a comment...it keeps out all the spammers and if i don't think a comment is relevant, i don't "approve it".
your photos are stunning but i think i'm ready for just a bit of fall which we got here this past weekend...even had our first fire saturday night. but man, that beach looks inviting!
Just found your blog last night. So glad to see a new post!! You seem like a lovely person and your view is spectacular!

Love the pictures. Everything looks so beautiful. I'm not looking forward to winter, either, although we desperately need rain here in California. But I hate, hate, hate being cold.
I do hope those spam comments stop. I laughed out loud at racheld's comment. I get lots of spam emails for the things she mentioned. Thankfully, gmail puts them right into my spam box, which I empty on a regular basis.
I never ever ever tire of your pictures. They will bring healing to my weary soul this winter.
Your views are so amazing!
Hope you get rid of those stupid spammers. The notification has worked for me when I've had trouble.
So happy to see you are posting again. I can't believe there are such predators out there...don't they have something good to do besides being a "pain".
Anyway, love the deck, love the water, and really want to know the name of the book on the chaise. I'm ready to find something good to curl up with.
Welcome back! I've missed you...was a tad worried. Beautiful photos!

YAY She's back, hopefully permanently :) Sorry about the scammers! You could just use comment moderator and just delete them when they come in, but it does take time. I've closed comments on my older posts because that is where I was getting many scam comments! It seems to have helped for now! I hope the word verification helps you because I do enjoy reading your blog and living on the beach vicariously through you!! *wink* Blessings, Cindy
It's always so nice to see you, Kat. I hope the new setting will help you. My comments are guarded by blogger; I don't know what I did for that to happen, but have only had one or two scams over the years.
When you say you live in Paradise, I can believe it. So beautiful there!
xoxo
Nice to see a post from you this morning. I hope the word verification works for you.
I also hate the cold and I often wonder why we chose to be in such a cold winter climate...anyhoo - love the view from your balcony.
Take care
Jeannette
So happy you are back!!!
