THE NAUGHTY LIST

Gosh, can't believe I've done it again...weeks without posting to my blog ;-(
I'm putting myself on The Naughty List until I improve.

But...in my defense...I've been busy.

We took a trip to visit friends and attended a Clemson game.

We went to my hometown for Thanksgiving!
My baby sister Kim hosted the whole family this year.  Here she is with my sweet Mom. I had to snap this photo.  Mom walked around for awhile with both her coffee and her wine.  There was so many people, she was afraid to sit them down.  LOL

We thought that our daughter Bree was our only child that could come this year, but our son Eric SHOCKED us by showing up.

Our family invited two Marines to spend the day with us.  One was from North Carolina and one was from southern California.  I'm so proud of my family.  EVERYONE made them feel special.  They stayed all day.

If you've never done this, I would encourage you to try it.
 Daven is 3 now and it's such a cute age.

It's so hard to believe it's the end of November.  Our weather has been perfect....great sunrises, sunsets and walks on the beach.

Yikes!  December begins in just a few hours :-)
I'm decorated and ready to enjoy this special season.

 HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL!

LAST WEEK

Gosh, it's Sunday already.  I'm sitting here looking at my calendar for this coming week and thinking about last week.  It was a good one.
We have had some incredible sunrises.  With the time change (grrrr), I've been up early.  Sometimes very early.  BUT....there are advantages to being up early.  Watching the sunset while sipping coffee is the BEST!
Standing out there in my gown is getting harder now that it's so cool so I take a few photos and hurry back inside.  The view from my windows is still pretty incredible.
The days have been picture perfect!
And the sunsets...oh my!
My tennis team had a GIRLS NIGHT OUT.  Some couldn't make it and we missed them, but we sure had fun.  Our team won that morning so we celebrated our win.  I love these girls!
As a cancer survivor I know how very true this is.  I do my best every single day to do just that...ENJOY LIFE!

I hope you do too.

TWO GOOD MEN

My two husbands
 I guess that got your attention :-)

I'm going to share something personal...for lots of reasons.  Here's just two - I'm proud of us.  I hope if by sharing this, it might help others.

I married my first husband (on the left) right out of high school.  We married literally within three weeks of my high school graduation.  He was a few years older and had already graduated.  A sweet sweet boy.  We had a son 3 years later.  I loved my husband, but I knew something was missing.  My Daddy put it this way when I shared my feelings.  He said "you can't marry your brother"...his way of saying that my feelings were more like for a brother than a husband.  He was right.  We divorced and it was hard, but I truly felt it was the right decision.

I met George...my soulmate...and we married right before my son turned 4.  My first husband met his soulmate and they married almost one month to the day before George and I married.  I truly believe everything worked out for a reason.  We've all been married for 36 years :-)

And here's the best part.  The reason I say I am so proud of US.  We never stopped loving each other.  There was no reason.  We (the 4 of us) all loved OUR son.  He lived with me and George, but we all had a part in his raising him TOGETHER and along the way, we all continued to love each other.  We stayed in touch even after our son grew up, married, had children and moved to cities away from all of us.

My first husband's wife (I teasingly call her my wife-in-law) was diagnosed with cancer about 6 months ago and has gone through chemo and radiation.  Like a champ, I might add.  My husband George suggested we invite them here for a visit once she finished all her treatments, so she would have something to look forward to.
Yep, my husband is a good man.  So they did.  Last weekend.  Just the four of us.  And we had a wonderful time together.  Seriously. We ate, clicked our glasses to many toasts, played games, toured around and went to church together.  We had fun.

And I think we'll do it again at some point.

Life is what you make it and we make it GOOD.
LOVE and FAMILY is what's important.
I'm proud of us!

THIS AND THAT

Whispering....maybe, just maybe, the scammers are gone :-)
I changed my setting to word verification (sorry) and it seems to have helped.  Fingers crossed.

Although the weather people predicted rain, we've had a gorgeous day.  Perfect for my tennis match this morning, although I lost in the three set.  I hate hate hate losing ;-(

Although there's clouds now, the sun is shining brightly and I love how it looks on the waves.

I'm loving my Fall flowers on the balcony.

I'm not much of a TV person, but I've recently discovered the Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel and I'm in love :-)

It's got me thinking about decorating for Christmas.  Not just yet, but soon :-)  Maybe right before Thanksgiving since I'm not hosting Thanksgiving at my house this year.  It makes me happy to think about coming home to all the decorations.  It's a lot of work to put it together and I'm ready to enjoy it all December.

How about you?  When do you plan to decorate?

I'm not used to the time change yet.  Man, I wish they would just leave the time alone.  It's hard to get used to the sun setting soooo early, but gosh we've had some gorgeous ones.

FLIP FLOPS AND BOOTS

I live in my flip flops.
There, I said it :-)

And, although I love dressing up in heels sometimes and wearing my ballet flats and wedges, flip flops are my "go to" shoe most days ... unless I'm in my tennis court shoes, of course :-)

You don't even want to know how many pair I own.  LOL

The days are getting a bit cooler though,  so I know my flip flops will be switched out for boots soon.

Ahhhh boots!  My second favorite shoe :-)

SCAMMERS

Well, here I am again.  I keep saying I'm gonna blog again and then weeks go by.  I'm thankful for those of you who email to check on me and say you miss me.  I really do.  I miss my blogging and the blogging community.  To tell you the truth, I've been frustrated because every time I blog, I begin to get scam comments. It's so frustrating and it makes me want to stop blogging all together.  Just who are these unknown characters who somehow get our blog addresses and try to sell us something we don't want?  Grrrr  I've asked a few of my blog friends what to do.  They have suggested that I use word verification.  Soooooo...I just changed my setting.  Let's see if that helps.  If you have another idea, please let me know.
~~~~~~
We have had some incredibly beautiful weather and, even though it's November, it has continued.  I've been spending lots of time on our balcony and loving every second.
its so nice to keep the doors open and listen to the waves
my flowers are loving it too :-)
 I'm definitely NOT ready for winter.  How about you?
