SATURDAY THIS AND THAT

What a gorgeous day today! Wow!

I stopped by our condo on the beach to water plants and check on things. This is the condo we lived in until we moved into our house in November 2006. Our view was incredible. I miss that part. (Yep, this is the condo we're trying to sell. Any buyers?)
Just look at that view!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had lots of errands to do to get ready for our Super Bowl party tomorrow night and I needed to return some books to the library and pick up more. I stopped by one of my very favorite places for lunch - Dewey Destin Seafood. It was voted as the best outdoor restaurant on the emerald coast. Very, very, very casual, but very, very good. I love their fried shrimp basket, which comes with coleslaw, fries and hushpuppies. Yummy!
See...nothing fancy, but it's right on the water and it's wonderful to sit outside, especially on a beautiful day like today.

WE HAD OUR OWN SUPER BOWL!
Tonight 11 of us went bowling. What fun! George and I haven't bowled in probably 15 years. What a hoot! We divided up into three groups with no one playing with their spouse and played on 3 lanes close together so we could cheer everyone on. It was so much fun. We're gonna do this again for sure.

Me with Garrett and Barbara (Duckie)
Carl, Jeanette, Dick and Debbie
George, Carol, Jackie and Jerry

I got just a little excited....because:

I got three strikes in a row. Before you get too excited for me, I must admit my score was only 134. It was still pretty exciting though.
After we played three games, we all caravaned over to our favorite pizza restaurant for dinner. More fun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tomorrow will be busy too. We have church in the morning and then George and I are playing mixed doubles tennis at 12:30. At 4:30 we have about 20 friends coming over for a Super Bowl party at our house. Go Giants!
Off to bed. Night night!
Sounds like a wonderful day! I've never eaten there when I have been in Destin, but hearing you talk, it's on my list to visit next time! Glad the weather is good there, here, it is still damp and cool.
Enjoy your party today!
Blessings!
Beautiful, gorgeous view! Would you be interested in time sharing with a home in the suburbs of Denver? Includes 2 kids, such a deal? (Probably not, sigh).
You are just SO cute, Kat! It's so much fun getting to peek in your life! I feel like I was with you bowling, and right about now you should be playing tennis! I can only dream about that! I can't wait to see the pictures of your Super Bowl party! I want to know what kinds of snacks you love!?!
Enjoy your day!
Love,
What a fun weekend! 3 strikes, my new hero. LOL! Seriously, I am impressed! We are getting ready for the Super Bowl. I ordered wings and strips and sides from Wing Stop. I made brownies for my sons and I bought a cajun crab dip that was out of this world good!!
I second you, GO Giants!!
Have a great party!
Way to go on the bowling score. 134 is my average so I don't think that's too shabby. :)
Love the condo and view. Simply beautiful!
