FUN WITH FRIENDS BEFORE WE LEAVE AGAIN

I can't believe we're leaving again in the morning. I'm not caught up from our New England trip and here we go again. Sigh!

Our friends Rudy and Sharon are in town for a long weekend and tonight was the only time we would be able to see them since we won't be home until late Sunday evening and they will be gone before we get home. Soooo....tonight the four of us had dinner and drinks together.

We took the golf cart up to the village for dinner. The sky was incredible. I took this photo along the way.
The village was especially beautiful tonight.

We had dinner at Grafitti's...yum! It's always fun to see Rudy and Sharon. After dinner, we raced home to watch THE debate. I thought Miss Sarah did a wonderful job!

Gotta finish packing and get to bed. I'm so excited. Can't wait to see Bree and Jay.

OH, WHAT FUN WE HAD!

We had a whirlwind trip to Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire for our Fall Foliage Getaway. We were busy and on the go ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. We saw so much, ate so much, and had sooooo much fun.

I took hundreds of photos, but here are waaaay too many just a "few":

I loved standing under these beautiful trees and picking up leaves to examine.

We visited an apple orchard. They made the BEST apple cider donuts! Oh.My.Word!

Anyone know what kind of purple/pink flower this is? I love it!

The Norman Rockwell Museum was fantastic. His original paintings are unbelievable!

The Trapp Family Lodge still owned and operated by the Trapp Family made famous by "The Sound of Music"....just beautiful!
We had ice cream at the famous Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and then visited the graveyard for flavors that have been "retired".

The Brick Store - The oldest continuously open general store in the United States - 1790!

How cute is this?! Money on the Moooove...too funny!

It was a rainy day when we took the Wildcat Mountain gondola ride. It was fun, but although we went to the 4,062 foot summit, it was hard to see much. Pooh!
I took this blurry photo out the window of our gondola of another one heading down.

George and I walked a bit of the Wildcat Ridge Trail on the Appalachian Trail just so we could say we did. (wink wink)
Here I am with our friends, Billy and Toni.

We took an hour long trolley ride in Salem. Our guide was really good.
We visited the Salem Witch Museum.

We also visited a VERY old cemetery in Salem.

Of course, I HAD to have a Maine lobster!
Don't you love my bib? I did.
My lobster roll in Portland on the wharf was incredible!

We ate entirely too many desserts!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just like our desserts, our trip was sweet. But....
"Oh Auntie Em, there's no place like home!"
